Just a little anti-Okie joke from someone who had to endure living in that hell-hole for two years and had to put up with a ton of "anti-Yankee" -- yes, they actually called me a Yankee to my face -- comments.
THAT WAS HARD.......................... sorry you feel that way! what a shame, i don't feel like this is a hell hole at all, i like to call it HOME!

It seems that the show often does a good job of reminding us that first impressions often don't mean anything.
ITA! I missed his profile first time through, but I would have liked him then. Now, after reading all the recaps here, he's my favorite. It's so hard to go through life feeling completely rejected by your dad, especially for a boy, and turn out a decent, good man. He must have an amazing mom. I hope he wins - although he's got an uphill battle on all sides.

Please don't judge all of us Okies by Michael's looks. Some of us are purdy......

There is definitely somethin going on behind that eyebrow.

I kinda like him.

I am with mom2. Please oh please don't let him be a dufus.

I think I like Michael alright but his voice is soooo annoying!!! Not his accent but the way he seems to make his words longer and more drawn out than normal. Kind of whiny. But, to each his own, I don't have the best voice in the world either.

Can that Okie get any dumber?

OK, im not gonna fault the guy cause he tawks funneh, or that
he wears that lame hat, or that all his clothes answer
the question "Gee, where ya from?" No. I refuse to take the
low road.

So Michael finds out that Jennifer is his sister. This is a major coup
(or vulnerablity) depending on how he plays it. If he keeps it secret
(and the BB producers dont nefariously reveal it in some way), he can
have a secret alliance and they can both possibly benefit greatly from it.

On the other hand, if it becomes public, everyone else will know that
this alliance exists and then, they both become easy targets. Even if
they both publickly declare "there is no alliance", any time he sides with
her, he will be immediately suspect.

So what does he do? HE IMMEDIATELY TELLS EVERYONE IN THE HOUSE.
Laughably, the first two guys he tells, he tells them to "keep it a secret."
Has this guy ever watched the show? (Maybe his Dust Bowl house hasnt
gotten electricity yet?)

And what is his first act upon finding out about his new sister? To betray
her, and tell the guys in his ersatz alliance, a bunch of complete
strangers: "oh, im with you im not with her." Jesus, he's gonna
have a sister forever; this game is only going to last 2 months.

This guy is a loser on so many levels, its not even necessary to make fun
of his dusty ancestry.

[Sidenote: whats up w/ Marvin the Mortician "not believing" Michael?
Whats not to believe? What would possibly be his motive for making it up?
And look at them: same shape of face, same nose, mouth, hair.
Poor Marvin outclassed by the game and trying to sound intelligent
with false analysis.]

To be completely honest, I think the ONLY reason that he's on the show is because of him being related to Jeniffer. He does not fit in at all and its weird when he's shown on TV.

Frankly I think that's the only reason why either of them are on. Nicomus' tattoos are the most interesting thing about her that I have seen. And while I am perversely fascinated by Michael the Okie (why doesn't his fiancee get rid of that unibrow? If he isn't married, why does he wear a wedding ring? If he wins, will he get braces? Doesn't that beltbuckle hurt when he sits down?) Oh hell, I like him better then the bandanna frat boys.

Like I said in another post, whether you feel for this guy or not, the fact of the matter is Micheal lacks the mental and physical capacity to play this "game".... it's not worth it to be vulnerable like that on national tv making a fool of yourself..... intentional or unintentional. look, the fact is most of the other people in the house are physically attractive, doesn't have heavy accents, isn't highly emotional to the point where they think about their "daddys" 24/7 or insert the word "sister" in every conservation with someone..... from the get-go you're the odd-person out. And you know what that's the fault of this show, the producers and casting directors who intentionally put a couple of odd-balls in the mist of a little-above-average attractive group. And consequently right from the get-go, I'm afraid, the game hasn't been fair to the types of Micheal and Jennifer..... I rather have the show to cast everyone with buff bodies and good tans than to anguish over or give sympathy to some odd-ball outcast who has the short end of the stick right from the beginning. I'm kinda sick of it with all these reality shows..... it's kind of not fair to the types of Drew or Lori who has to get out of their way to avoid hurting anybody's FEEELings... they're not playing the game to the full potential.

Anyone agree? disagree?
