| Someone else would've taken it, but then that person would be a target. The same people who were telling her to take it were later saying they were upset that she took it and they had to eat PBJ for a week. I agree with VeeJay. You don't get on a show like that and then take a small consolation prize while putting a big target on your back to go home. If your goal was to get on the show and win, you should keep playing to win. Yes, it is unlikely that she will ultimately win the $500k, but this is also probably the best chance she will ever have in her life to win $500k, so why blow it over $10 G's? Plus, she is attractive and personable enough that she could get some sort of TV job when this is over. She should be viewing this opportunity as an audition. The longer she is on the show, the better her chances of that are. If she leaves before anyone even knows who she is, that ain't gonna happen. |

| Exactly my thinking Chach. It's too early to put yourself in a bad spotlight. Yeah someone else probably would've taken the money but at least the heat wouldn't have been on you. That would lead you one step closer to the big prize.

| It's all relative though. She did mention that she never had that much money in her life. So to her, 10 grand may be more valuable than to someone else. It's easy to say that you wouldn't take the money in her shoes, but when someone offers you unexpected, free money, it's got to be tempting...especially when you only have a few short minutes to decide. |

Sure, $10k is a decent chunk of change, but she probably gave up a whole lot more than that to get the $10k. A lot of saps go on these shows thinking they are going to get TV jobs afterwards and most of them go back to their regular lives and are never heard from again. Lori, however, is the type who could actually turn this exposure into a career - even if it's just as an entertainment reporter for her local news channel. That's not a bad gig, especially for a model/yoga instructor who's broke. I think the only time it's OK to take the money is when you know you're on your way out of the house anyway and it doesn't really matter what you do. Even then, though, I wouldn't take the money. I'd decline it and hope someone else took it and would then try to turn everyone against them for being greedy. Ya gotta play the game!

| But what about Kent!!! He won a car and wasn't booted until week 5! And Jason He won the nest challenge and almost won the game!!! So if Lori survives the first week, she should be fine.

| Lori is pretty and seems really nice. I think she may have made a mistake by selling the others out to a week of peanut butter. But she isn't the most hated in the house yet so she might pull through. |

I don't remember the "nest challenge" that Jason won. Did he win a nest?
