| When Karen didn't defend Diane to Jase, Diane noticed this. Jase was already a goner - it wouldn't have hurt Karen in the least to defend Diane to Jase. It would have only strengthened her alliance with Diane (whether she truly meant it or not). So Karen must have some really strong reasons for not defending Diane, to go out of her way to alienate her like that. She must not think Diane is much of a threat in the house. |

| Maybe Karen was too busy thinking "I'm a married adult woman with a real job and some decent talent. Why should I stoop to getting involved in the petty high school dramas of these two self-absorbed, self-important nitwits?" Or: "Man, I remember that time Diane got attacked by Jase and everyone on Jase's team piled on because they felt that she was on the way out. Wouldn't I be no better than Jase and crew if I now helped Diane, who started this incident, pile on Jase just because he's the one in the disadventageous position? I shall not become the thing I hate." |

Its much easier for me to rise to the occasion of interceeding in an argument when it doesn't appear that both parties are enjoying themselve so much. Diane and Jase got into it too frequently for me to have the impression that fault resided in only one of them. If Diane didn't want to play, she could have refrained from comments that kept the exchange going. If they'd been outside, the appropriate response from Diane to their latest 'misunderstanding' would have been to turn a hose on the both of them. | |

| All of the replies are true, just makes me wonder if Diane gets back into power.. if she will take out Karen in retaliation. Diane does seem like a sh**-stirrer, and maybe she does get what she deserves in response. The nitpicking fights probably get sickening after a while. The hose is a great idea! ![]() |

| I agree about Karen. She's managed to be on good terms with everyone in the house. I'd be very afraid to sit next to her in the final 2, whether I was Marvin or any of the other houseguests.
