Perhaps I ought to clarify and say that I found the poor persecuted religious girl ploy to be a new (to me) distasteful form of manipulation, fluff. No more annoying, perhaps, than the continual stream of girls glomming onto guys 'strategy' that Holly utilized, attempting to become Jase's siamese twin, but no more applaudable in my opinion, either.

I sure noticed that the one minute goodbye Holly received in the House was totally lacking in emotion. I don't believe even all of the houseguests even said goodbye to her. I suppose they were all stunned to have exposed the fact that they had all (but one) turned against her.
It also was an amusing slap in the bandana to Jase and his supposed belief in his power over all the houseguests. To have gone from outrage over Drew's simple nomination of Holly to the outright knowledge that the Horseman had voted against their supposed ally. I wonder if he'll be using that lame phrase anymore. Nice to see that the solidarity broke down finally.

I totally agree. My opinion of A went downhill because of that - especially since she was continually (and tearfully) stressing her honesty. Everyone has the agenda of winning the big prize but A & N have a second secret agenda and at the moment the two of them are playing for that - which isn't that honest or above board. Her tearful pleadings were her measure of desperation.

What she said basically gave me the impression that she didn't quite grasp the concept that they had both been in the house the whole time.
I did notice that. While she was watching the tape, her expression was not one of surprise, but completely blank. I don't know if she even realized A and N are twins.

I'll tell you what, that had to have been one of the toughest exit interviews Jukie ever did. She ha d tough time keeping Holly on an even keel, Holly didn't really answer the questions, just started rambling nonsensically, then when she paused for breath, Julie hopped in with a solid question trying to steer her away from the ramblings. I bet it was all Julie could do to keep from screaming.

How about the way the camera followed Jase ? He was thunderstruck. Not as much by the fact that his little cupcake was gone, but by the shocking realization that he doesn't wield the power in that house that he thought he did ! Not a single one voted his way.

To me, an alliance is not about everybody thinking just alike and being best buddies all the time, but about a group of people that vote the same way. How can the Horseasses call themselves an alliance now ?

I can just hear Jase going off on Scott :"You know, man, Drew and the Cowboy didn't even matter. They were just votes we controlled. But I always saw YOU and ME going to the final two. There was always YOU and ME, dude ! But you wrecked it ! Now there's NOTHIN' ! I can't believe you did that.....blah blah blah !!!"

Gawd, I love it !

Agree. I totally respect anyone's right to their own faith, as I expect the same from others about mine. But when you wear your faith on your sleeve like a badge of honor, it makes others feel like they're being judged, even chastised.

Adria needs to keep her faith between her and God. It's a personal thing and doesn't need to be thrown in the face of the other HG's.

Since A and Dr share the same faith, it really only matters to them, in my opinion.

This is an area where the fact that I don't follow the live feeds often may play a role.

The aspect of Adria's teary persecuted breastbeating that worked against her, at least as far as I was concerned, was that it appeared to be out of character. As AnnieH stated, it seemed indicative of her measure of desparation to me, rather than being a genuine offering. (Not that these shows have left me cynical :rolleyes )

Ordinarily I might agree with zeus that it is pretty much between Drew and Adria, were it not that Adria seemed to be sharing the same sort of song with Marvin, as well as the fact that even if Drew is too purehearted to realize he is being bamboozled, it doesn't make the act any more savory.

I follow what edgeover17 says, but I don't hold Adria verbalizing her faith against her, it is just that what she was saying didn't ring true to my ears, even though I was, and am, pulling for her. I agree wholeheatedly with edgeover17's observations in regard to what can often happen when a contestant wears their faith as a "badge of honor." I have really only seen that on Survivor (as well as real life), and it always seems an indication that we'll ultimately be treated to some hellfire. Drew, on the other hand is just being himself, and there is nothing wrong about that.

I don't hold that against Adria either. I'm just hoping the other HG's don't. Myself, I attend Mass regularly, make confession when I'm supposed to, etc., but I do that in hopes that it will somehow make me a better person. I know A's playing of that card was a move borne out of desparation, but as you noted, it sounds kind of hollow when it is played in an effort to keep from being deprived of a chance to win money. That is my only point, and I'm still pulling for Adria and Natalie.
