    Golden Veto Question

Watching last night's show I was amazed at how spineless Marv was and thinking that he should have just put Jase up for taking Holly down. I think that doing that would have kept him in the house longer than what he originally did or ended up doing.

If you win the Golden Veto is your butt safe from being put on the block if you use it? Is that one of the powers of the golden veto?

I believe that the GOLDEN veto means you can't be put up if you take someone else off. However, Marvin could have gained a lot of support by putting Scott up. No one really likes him. The majority votes would then go to the Blanket Brigade, or whatever they call themselves.

The veto holder was always safe from being nominated his or herself.
I think the Golden part is that if one of the nominated people wins it they can take themselves off the block.
You could not do that in the first season with the reular veto as I recall.

I think I'm remembering this correctly.

.... I don't ever remember the veto not being golden, except at the very end when it became the Diamond power of veto (ooooh ahhh)

I am pretty sure that in season 2,there was no veto at all. If you were nominated, you were stuck.

In season 3,they introduced the regular veto(which was silver).Any player could win this veto and remove a nominee from the block. If you were the nominated player and you won the veto, you could notuse it on yourself, but you could veto the other nominee. The final veto in season 3 was 'golden',which meant you could win it and use it to save yourself.(Danielle convinced Marcellas to not use the veto on himself, and then he was voted out moments later but we all remember that, don't we kids?).

In season 4,the regular veto was non-existent and all vetoes were golden.

What was funnier was when Julie playfully slapping Marcellus around after he got the boot from his "friends" in the house.

Oh, yeah ! That was definitely a fatal mistake by Marcellas. I don't think CBS ever dreamed that a nom would win that golden POV and not use it on themself. You ALWAYS, AWLAYS save yourself if you have a chance. Who could hold that against anyone ?
