Answers to FORTer questions about Big Brother. **possible SPOILERS**

Do you have a question about the houseguests? Want to know what time zone they are in, where they sleep each night, who eats what for breakfast?

Use this thread to post your question, no matter how trivial, about the Big Brother house, and FORTers will endeavor to answer.

Here's some did-ya-know's to get you started:
    • The PB&J diet allows protein shakes, condiments and even some staples (such as sugar and butter).
    • The houseguests aren't allowed to sing, whistle, or hum. Since they are being broadcast live on the Internet, CBS would have to pay royalties for every hummed bar.
    • Big Brother plays music every morning to wake up the houseguests. The feeds are blocked while the music is playing.
    • The hamsters are on Pacific Standard Time.
    • The Big Brother house is located on the CBS lot.

Thanks, Hep. Not trying to be nit-picky, but inevitably, someone could get confused. I think that the HGs are on Pacific Daylight Time right now.

You're absolutely right. It's Daylight Savings time here in California.

Now, that doesn't mean they get up with the sun. Everyone but Rachel sleeps in until 11 or noon, and most of them take naps during the day.

Someone else also posted that the HG make $750.00 a week while on the show...not a bad week's pay to lay around and not do much!

Yep, Ape was saying it, and the director was a little slow on the fish button...

I wonder if one could show up with a list of songs that are in the public domain (expired copyrights) and be able to belt out a couple of tunes now and then.

Now there's a great idea! I'd be interested to see what they would choose to sing. They could give them a list of approved songs

I want to know more about the quarters and the gumball machine. Do they refill the gumball machine once in a while? Was it set up special just for the movie competition? Do they keep adding more quarters once in a while? Why haven't they talked about it more often on the show? Why are the houseguests not spending more time trying to find more quarters? I'd make sure to spend at least some one my time everyday looking for quarters and trying to open the safes.

Good question! The gumball machine is a bit of a mystery to me too, but yesterday Ivette looked in that hollow square in the wall where they previously found a clue and there were two quarters in there. She and Beau went to the machine and got two "Sorry, try again"s.

I wonder if they control exactly what's going to roll down the slot next.
