No, he lost because he refused to use the veto on Eric (or Jameka). He even admits that was his biggest mistake/regret. (RNO interview) He also says he felt that he made a mistake trusting Kail. But he didn't know anyone yet and she appeared to be the strongest female in the house the first week, and he wanted a female in his alliance.
