As Fluff said earlier, there's been an observation game every season. If any of these people had paid any attention and watched previous editions of the show, they should have known something like this would have been coming. Sorry, but I don't buy the argument that this week's HoH competition was biased against the Horsemen.

Let's not. Not our problem if the 4 horsesasses were too busy looking in the mirror or roping chairs to observe their own home.

Scott actually seemed human on the interview last night. No one forced him to act like an intolerable jerk for the last few weeks. :phhht

I'm prepared to be fair and give the Horsemen their due.

Instead of just ONE alliance, they were also the driving force in creation of the girls club due to the way they just couldn't restrain themselves from crowing about their exalted status in regards to the peons of the house.

They coulda been crafty and pretended to be nice, but real men don't pretend, so they showed their oafish side, even when they had to go out of the way to do so.

The continuation of man love alliance confused me when it became obvious that the alpha dogs considered Cowboy their toady bitch and he proved them right by leaping whenever they prompted, even as they were treating him to putdowns that would have an ordinary person considering just how tight this bond of brothers was. Personally, I never bought the whole notion of man to man insults actually being terms of endearment, at least not universally. There are times when it works, and there are times and people it doesn't work for. Without some parity of rank, the type of insults Cowboy has been treated to are nothing more, nothing less than just insults for anothers pleasure and to demean the one (Cowboy) they are directed at. That he either didn't recognize this, or worse was prepared to accept it in his craven attempt to fit in with the boys, is disappointing.

I wonder if we should direct our pique at the producers for picking the Cowboy - someone who seems totally oblivious to the nature of this game. No doubt he was lured in by the notion of being in an alliance with ..... how shall I put this without seeming to be attracted .... such muscular, handsome and tanned gods. Undoubtedly, not the usual type of crowd for the Cowboy. Did he really believe Jase's self-aggrandizing bluster that the Horsemen would go all the way? I found his habit of turning on Nakomis - or at least, ordering her what to do - very sad.
Jase's loyalty to the 4Horsemen was always suspect - they would only be a vehicle for him. The Cowboy seems to have truly believed in them - above common sense, above his own need to control the game for himself.

I have nothing against the other house guests, but you have to insist that Jase, Scott, and Marvin brought excitement.

Now that Nakomis (whatever she goes by) has head of household it is really going to be BORING... You know that she is definitely going to put up Marvin and Jase.

I might as well just turn off the t.v. now, because their is no sense to watching it. Just like last year. That girl should have never won.

I can honestly say that this is the first time that I don't really care who wins... I hope they have more twists to this show or else we are really in for a remaining boring season.

Then let it be boring!!!! I'd rather watch a boring show then to see the horsemen on my TV screen bragging and bullying everyone!!! To me, it is not good TV at all -- it is unwatchable!!! :phhht
Get Fantasia's self titled CD, in stores now!!!

Worth a second printing for the additional laughter:

Your post just allowed me to consider something new (to me), AnnieH. While I could understand Cowboy INITIALLY hooking up with the other lads, it is his lockjaw attraction to them even when he must realize he'd never be part of their endgame plan that continually befuddled me.

Now, I'm taking a look at Cowboy from another angle, and thinking of a reasoning pattern that fits with his actions, at least in my mind.

Cowboy strikes me as the kind of guy that likely either married the first woman he slept with, or the first woman that showed an interest in him. Self confidence does not appear to be overflowing in Michael. Not having a lot of positive experience around confident women coupled with being married, the thought of hanging with the women and expanding his options probably never occurred to him. Jase, Scott or Drew could have easily jettisoned the bad boys club or at least expanded it to include women. Cowboy's options were somewhat narrower, being socially isolated when it comes to the other sex.

I choose to believe that the Scott we saw presented live was closer to the real Scott and that man had potential in the house - more than Drew or Jase. On the other hand, perhaps the real Drew and the real Jase are more interesting and I shouldn't read too much into it. However, it is rather interesting that a Lord of the Flies persona arose in Scott due to the women being rather passive and Jase deciding to go for broke. The ugly words I saw on tv that he exchanged with Diane were very real and I have experienced the exact same situations, and the chill of recognition and anxiety came over me. Was this latent hostility? Does he actually behave this way in real life?
Scott had the potential to go farther I think. Jase overplays his hand and Drew underplays it (which probably will enable him to do well).

AnnieH, I believe that Scott, perhaps like some of the others in the house, didn't harbor fantasies about sticking around LA after the show seeing as they're going to be such a hot commodity . Knowing he was going back to his life, it appeared to me that Scott did a reasonable job of damage control. Your "Lord of the Flies" comparison seems apt, though I could only consider the women passive in the sense that they didn't let it all hang out in the over the top manner of the boymen.

I'm unsure, the ugly words, you are referring to with Diane, that is Jase, you are referring to there, right? While Scott was a pain in the butt, it was Jase that let threats implied and overt become part of his gameplan, from my observation. I don't believe you "act" in that manner. If someone is coming across with hostility in a manner that dredges up memories amongst the houseguests and the viewers of similar actions they have witnessed in the past, in all likelihood it is not something being tried for the first time, IMO.
