Dan just adjusts to whoever he's talking to. Dani left and Ian came in - and now it's Pokemon and crap. He knows how to connect with everyone.

I really hope that it will help in Part 3 - he has been really really listening to all of these people and I bet it's going to give him an instinct and a *feel* that Ian won't have.

He doesn't read people well at all and his social faking skills are lacking. But I would say Dan is more self-centered. His interest in people in the game is FOR the game. He is playing people and using his knowledge to get what he wants. It is a game, but to me that is self-centered but in a hidden way.
