It is probably desperation. He is in financial trouble.

Most people sell stuff on ebay to make as much money as they can. I doubt anyone lists an item for the benefit of the buyer. I see nothing wrong with him trying.

I find a lot wrong about him though.

I'm going to say 2 nice things about someone I despise:

#1. I liked the way he got when speaking about his son. Seemed like a loving father.

#2. The fact that he picked up & read the Bible without bursting into flames was quite an accomplishment.
