No matter how brilliant I think it was that Jen got rid of Kaysar (and got so much heat and got evicted), I think that Jen would have easily made it to the final 6 with April if she flew under the radar like Beau and to some extent, Ivette.

OH WELL, Dumb people make reality tv worth watching, not smart people.

I don't know why he doesn't pair up with Janelle... James and Janelle could be a force to be reckoned with! They can win lots of POVs and HOH's

IMO, he eventually will. Working with Janelle or Howie or Rachel can be a good move. but it requires no cultivating on the part of James. They will eventually come to him (rachel in fact already has). They need him now ore than he needs them. Going overt with an allaince would be suicide for James. He can get the best of both worlds, the Sovs willingness to keep him around (i.e. a degree of safety) and the ability to look like he is out for them (which he is) giving him a freedom to cut them loose if the pressure gets too great.

never underestimate the stupidity of those who become hoh each week (as we've seen already) .... i'm thinking everyone else, in their hatred for each other, just might overlook him long enough to let him slide to the final four or three, which is when he will put everything he has into winning hoh to ensure a spot in the final two. besides, him playing both sides makes him valuable because they both think he's feeding information to them about the other side ... which we know is not always truths. so they might think they need to keep him around ...

The purpose of psyops is to ensure that your opponent is completely defeated mentally. On the week that Janelle won the Hoh, April (and beau) made it to the final 3 players. So if Janelle's victory is meant to prove that Hurricane Howie was successful, then we have to conlcude that it was equally successful on disturbing the mental state of Rachel and howie, since they were also elimated by his actions (and before either April or Beau lost).

His actions had the net result of bolstering an already sick alliance (the F.A.). other than that there is little evidence that April or anyone else of consequence in the F.A. buckled under the severe pressure of the hurricane strategy.
Yeah, Jennifer and April really showed their discontent with the friendship group when they backdoored Kaysar instead of James last week.

You also seem to continually [and conveniently] keep wanting to forget that Rachel was the one who brought Howie and Janelle's psyops strategy to a complete halt and [as Broadway said] she brought it to a halt a good 4 days before the last HOH competetion [with the end result being that Rachel is now one of the nominees and will probably, herself, be eliminated.] So, I'm puzzled as to why you keep trying to equate Beau's HOH win with a strategy that Rachel had pulled the plug on 4 days before Beau won. I'm also wondering how Howie was supposed to completely mentally defeat their opponents when his own partner had put a complete stop to his strategy.

I'm also curious as to why you keep insisting that April has made it to the final 3. Unless I'm mistaken, aren't there still 8 house guests left in the house? I'm also a little puzzled as to your statement that Howie and Rachel have been eliminated. They've both been nominated, but they're both still in the house right now, aren't they? [And perhaps they wouldn't even have been nominated if Rachel hadn't nagged Howie into ending his psyops strategy.]

And now, if you don't mind, I'd really rather not continue to debate this. You have made the same points 2 or 3 times already [and completely inaccurately, in my opinion] and I have also made the same points several times, too, and I really feel that the conversation has become completely and totally circular.

    Absolutely.

I would only add that A/J's willingness to go out in the spotlight last week gave I/B the opportunity to fly by for another week. beau was a minor player up to this point. And Ivette got overshadowed by Jenn/April. the core F.A.'s did at least have the wherewithal to cut Jenn's safety line.

Not necessarily with someone who has a partner such as Rachel or Ivette. Janelle has been a floater since she lost Ashlea in the first week. She is always up there in the thinking and the endurance comp's. I think she let go of the button because she wanted the tv.

Janelle is a great competitor and like James, floats by. She always gets put up but not voted out. I think that if James gets HOH and partners up with Janelle, they might have a workable agreement. Get HOH and maybe even get put up but make sure you win the POV and be taken off.

i think CBS is contractually prohibited fom casting more than 2-3 smart players per season. even those players are quetionable.

Yeah I think the only smart players this season was Kaysar (until he got dumbified in sequester), Rachel and maybe Maggie. Maggie has been able to get this far and lead her people. No matter how much her alliance is hated by the public, she did rally them together.
