| Re: BB10 Speculation - What would you like to see? It should make for an interesting BBAD if they start having debates about religion and politics!

| Re: BB10 Speculation - What would you like to see? Religious and political debates would instantly make me turn the show off. BB casts people who are a little tweaked to begin with. Having a bunch of borderline psychos representing religious and political views will not serve anyone, and will cause more polarizing hateful rhetoric than any kind of mutual understanding, both in the house and among fans. If that is the twist, then I'm going to stick my neck out now and say this has disaster written all over it. Come to think of it, didn't I say that about last season too? Probably ![]()

| Re: BB10 Speculation - What would you like to see? I get enough religious and political debate in real life. Let religion and politics alone(!) and let's have them debate other more interesting issues. I'm especially tired of the Christian representation/bashing. None of these people represent me and my Christian beliefs, and I don't represent what they believe either. When I pull out the ole Monopoly game, I do not announce to the other players what my religion and party affiliation is. I just play the game. I would like the same attitude on tv shows. Please! One thing my children and I try to avoid at all costs is a political discussion with my parents. I don't like ANY politician, because I feel that politicians ARE like reality tv stars. They are out for themselves and whoever funded them instead of representing the majority. No politician can play the game without getting dirty. The game is skewed that way. Off my soapbox now and hoping - but not holding my breath - that religion/politics are not abused again this season. ![]()

As far as Christian representation last year, you know Natalie was told by BB to "play" it up because she came across the feeds as boring.

| Re: BB10 Speculation - What would you like to see? I wouldn't put too much into it.....the twists usually end up falling flat. The really religious person and the athiest will probably get along....the vegetarian and the meat eater will love each other.....the republican and the democrat will be making out.....you get my drift. |

| Re: BB10 Speculation - What would you like to see? I don't mind the drama and conflict (hey, it makes the show!) but I want the HG to create it themselves, not be cast with their polar opposite and think they automatically have to have conflict with that person or have drama pre-planned already. But as JustJuls said, most twists fall flat and I hope this one does, too. I don't care to hear a bunch of die hard liberals/conservatives/vegetarians/meat eaters/atheists/Christians/ and whatever other opposite they come up with screaming at each other why their belief is the right one. I'm a Christian, conservative, and vegetarian but 99% these people don't represent my views on anything. They just make it look worse. |
