| Allie FTW on SYTYCDC! | Re: Possible Winter edition Oh, I just thought of this. Survivor airs during the winter also. And even though it doesn't get better ratings than American Idol (what show does?), it's time slot is Thursday at 8. Nothing will change that. That's Survivor's timeslot; it's been that way for 14 seasons. And it also beats the competition at that time (Ugly Betty, My Name Is Earl, 30 Rock). So what I'm wondering is when the episodes of BB9 will air. It was Sunday at 8, Tuesday at 9, and Thursday at 8. TAR also airs during that time, and it's timeslot is 8. But TAR's schedule is always funky. It moved around a lot, especially during season 9. TAR won't be the problem.

But, I don't think we have officially heard if TAR is going to have a winter edition. Remember the one we are seeing now was actually a midseason replacement for next year, but they brought it back early because Viva Laughlin sucked (in the ratings and in quality). Chris

| Re: Possible Winter edition Actually, I'd probably watch more (if that was possible ) of a winter edition. As much as I love BB, I'd much rather be outside somewhere in the summertime...but in cold, nasty February? Bring it on. ![]()

Whereas with a show like BB, all they have to do is the casting and come up with games, and then vacuum. ![]()

So BB will most likely keep its timeslot on Sunday. As for Thursday at 9, does CSI air new episodes in the winter? Cause that's pretty much where it always airs. And CSI is one of the top shows on TV right now. And Without a Trace is after that, and that show does very well also. Maybe BB will air on Friday? I don't know. I don't watch mystery-related shows, so I don't know if either of these shows air during the winter.

| Re: Possible Winter edition CSI and WAT both air during January-on. There is no way that (providing there are episodes and/or the writer's strike ends within the next two weeks) that BB would trump these two shows. I really wonder what's going to happen if next week the two sides come to some sort of agreement and the strike ends. |

Like canadian angel pointed out, I wonder if the networks really believe the strike will continue that long or if they're just trying to be prepared in case. Because I highly doubt CBS is going to move CSI to another time slot just to favor Big Brother, and we know they won't touch Survivor's time slot. I just hope they aren't moving things too fast and that we end up with a shorter season of BB, or that they move it all over the place and viewers can't keep up.

| Re: Possible Winter edition More than likely the strike will not be settled in time for new episodes of any show to be written and filmed for this current season. I foresee the strike lasting well into the new year. And then we have the directors and actors guilds contracts expiring in the middle of next year. So there could be another couple of strikes then. ![]() Alright, so I'm glad to see that the producers are ready to film another season. Just the other day I saw a commercial asking people if they would like to join the next season of TAR. But what I did know is that CBS hasn't said anything about airing a new season yet. Right after TAR11 aired, most of us TAR fans were eagerly awaiting to find out if TAR was going to be renewed or not. It was, but only for one season, and it was going to be a mid-season replacement. Because of Viva Laughlin's poor performance, TAR12 aired earlier than expected. But still, after all of this, there's still no word of CBS airing TAR13. And if what you said turns out to be true karalott, then we very well could be getting another season of TAR really soon. With the strike going on, CBS may need some shows to air, and TAR is a show they could air with the strike going. All of this brings us back to BB. As said before, TAR's timeslot is Sunday at 8, which is when an episode of BB airs during the summer. So all of this is really up in the air. The only timeslot that there really isn't any problem about is Tuesday at 9.
