I enjoyed this show so much! I think the traits he's looking for in a "sucessful in life" person are dead on. I actually met Mr. Cuban about a year and a half ago when I won a contest and had on-court seats to a Celtics/Mavericks game, and he was very nice and down to earth. There's no "airs" about him. He's just like a regular guy off the street.

I posted this in the Apprentice forum. I think Mark Cuban should get some recognition for taking the time to talk to people on FORT about his show.

One reason I don't post much in the Apprentice forum is that if I happen to catch the show, I am disgusted with the constant self-aggrandizement by Trump. It turns me off, so I turn the channel. To me it's like watching an informercial about Trump's casinos and golf courses. Plus, the OTT manipulation last season (I'm thinking of the article by the woman who "rented" one of the apartments they renovated) makes the whole show seem shady and engineered.

Now compare Trump to Mark Cuban...someone who is enough in the real world that he came to FORT and explained his show before it aired. He has been online during the shows to answer questions, and has read a lot of negative crap without going off on anyone. He keeps a blog about his business ideas and the show. Has Trump ever sat in front of a computer? Doubtful.

I give Cuban a lot of credit for caring what people think about his show, not just wanting them to tune in so they will be brainwashed into buying Trump Ice.

    thank you

    thanks for the kind words...

and let me give you an "almost spoiler"

In mondays eps, there is the start of a huge lie by one of the contestants to me. I had no idea till it was almost too late...

and I have had some schools contact me and let me know that they are now using the lessons from the Benefactor rather than the Apprentice because they are more honest and apply to real situations.

the first 2 weeks have been an incredibly interesting and fun ride

thanks again for the kind words

Thanks for the heads up Mark. Will we know it's a lie from the beginning? Or are we going to have to try to figure it out?

Thanks Mark - I have to go into mega spoiler mode to figure this out.

Don't tell me . Linda's mom is ok and she's playing everyone like Johnny Fairplay in Survivor? Because that would be so evil.

    Dominic is a Rhodes Scholar?

Spenser can memorize large amounts of confusing dialogue but actually knows nothing?

Watermelon didn't really jump, but played "Capricorn One" on a sound stage?

Kevin really is a plant from the Oprah show complete with hidden cameras ? Oh yeah she's jealous...

Femia and Linda really came into the house knowing each other , and made an alliance to take everyone else down?

This show is great fun and really refreshing . The cast is shaping up to be not the same old recycled contestants.

After today's episode, I've decided that Mark Cuban is a dork.

He said "squash" three times in three minutes. I've decided that any tv show host that repeats himself is not very interesting.

    Sorry.

Whoops, I was just wondering the same thing in the other thread, Eny. Geez, JP only axed off a grandma, not his own momma.

Femia seems shady to me but I can't think of what she would have lied about. I've heard some smack about Spencer.

I watched this for the first time last night, and I enjoyed it.

The differences between Mark Cuban and The Donald are striking.

The Don is like a king upon his throne.
Mark is like a general, getting dirty in the field.

    Mark--

That spoiler is great. Provides for juicy speculation and investigation. I think Linda might be too easy of a spoiler. I'm thinking it has something to do with Dominic or Captain Oprah. Reason being, at this point of the show, the impression of the two is that they are in the front running for the money.

When you questioned Linda's ability to work a computer, I applied practical reality tv thinking and realized that's what you want us to think, so it must be something else to throw us off. And if it is Linda, she deserves a freakin Academy Award because she's pretty darn believable at this point.
