7/22 The Bachelorette 8: FINALE and LIVE ATFR

Where's the surprise ending Fleiss promised? There was no surprise ending. This show was exactly like all the proposal shows from previous seasons... and I mean EXACTLY. How disappointing. The one exception was when Brad didn't choose anybody. Also, I got sick of Emily's fake crying. If her wedding was televised, I wouldn't watch. I'm not intersted in watching any other reality show she might be on. She had her fifteen minutes of fame.

Awww.. that was pretty sweet. A couple of thoughts: These two may actually go the distance IMO, because they do seem to have a lot of fun together and they seem to be in love. Not unlike, however, pretty much every relationship I've been in at that stage, so it's waaaaay too soon to tell whether there is really enough there to last forever

And if it doesn't work out, I think the issue will be Emily's reputed temper and Jef being less willing to settle down and be a serious husband and father than he thinks he is right now. That said, good luck to them. Jef seems very sweet and I hope she isn't too hard on him. :-)

Someone earlier mentioned the simple wood platform for the proposal and I agree that seemed odd for such a beautiful setting. I wonder if it had something to do with security and TPTB wanting to avoid the fly-over long-range camera spoilers?

First, please allow me to give a little background.
I order US Weekly from my nephew during a school fund raiser every year, and I *never* have time to read them when I get them in the mail.
I work in a high school and they just pile up during the school year.
However, during the summer months when I'm by the pool? THEN I get caught up on all the old smut.

In the past few weeks I've read about Emily and Brad's break-up, Brad pining for her and wanting her back, and a lot of other Bachelor/ette chatter.

I heard the same thing, but how can you blame her.
Rumor has it that ABC will pay Emily $4 million for the wedding. WOWSA!

Last week I got to the September-something, 2011, issue.

There was a blurb about Emily, asking if she might consider being the next Bachelorette. She said there was no way!
The item went on to say there was speculation she was already involved with someone post-Brad.

So, whether Emily initially says NO or not, never say ($4M) never!

What a beautiful love story that has been playing out on Monday nights all season long. Congratulations, Emily and Jef. Have a fulfilling trip to the well projects in Africa.

I didn't watch the entire proposal show, and I didn't watch the After the Final Rose Show. When Ashley S., (Emily's friend from the audience), started talking about Emily, I turned my TV off. The questions that Chris Harrison took from the audience were positive about Jef, and scripted of course. And, why watch the AFRS? There would be stuff on that show similar to what was on After the Final Rose show from previous seasons. Besides, I've heard way too many of Emily's "insights."
