7/13 Show Discussion **West coast spoilers only**

After last night's show, all I can say is this show is total crap!! The Ed scene in the bedroom is totally scripted and I could tell that different shots were put together to make it appear like he had problems "performing". I am so mad at the producers for stooping down this low for ratings. I don't have any favorites but after watching the last 2 shows, am I the only one here who thinks that Ed and Jillian are oozing chemistry? I think she'll pick him. They seem a good match. I definitely do not see what most people here see about Ed being "fake". I see a guy who is falling in love and who felt uncomfortable infront of the cameras which in a way is dumb because he knew going in the show this is what he should expect. As much as I find Reid adorable, I was not surprised she let him go. He got the friend card and that's how I read their relationship. Kiptyn I think is too good for Jillian. I hope she doesn't pick him because I just don't see it working out. I see Kiptyn as the next bachelor if he doesn't get picked.

like him or not...Ed steps up to the plate and tells he how he's feeling..he can't keep his hands off of her....she needs to know what these guys are thinking....he's the only one that's treating her like he's falling in love with her....

Agreed. Ed's solid. He tacks off course at times, but he's a bit--endearingly, if you ask me--anxious and awkward.

Used car salesman!!! That's what I've been looking for, thank you to whoever came up with that! Ed seems like a nice guy but his "sincerity" does not seem "sincere".

I haven't read this whole thread as I'm supposed to be working, but does anyone know what happened with Jillian's visits with her own family? Haven't they shown previews of her taking them home to meet her parents? What happened with that? Am I missing something?

I too feel that last night's show seemed very disjointed and pieced together to make it more interesting. That's another thing about Ed .... booooooorrrrring!!! And I'm afraid he needs a new "do". His haircut is bad and it kind of gave me the heebie jeebies when she "ran her fingers" through it.

I heart Ed! IMHO Reid is emotionally constipated...and wishy washy. Jillian would have to make all the decisions....Reid would be a procrastinator....ya snooze, ya lose. Ed is both funny and serious. Reid is all jokes...fun to hang around, but maybe not hot and passionate when the time comes. And Kiptyn is maybe not laid back enough...too controlled in keeping his composure. BUT you know the editing....we're only seeing tidbits. For instance...we never got to see HOW MUCH Ed talked about his family. She went on and on about Ed talking about his family all the time.

I don't think Reid is emotionally constipated, imho.... I think in this setting he defers to Jillian because it really is her journey, and he wants her to do what's best for her. I do feel their convos last night were unusually strained for them, but I attribute that more to Jill's pushiness than Reid's inability to communicate. I rewatched their date in Spain, and though it took him awhile to collect his thoughts, I actually thought Reid was very articulate... even used the word "effortless" to describe them, which indeed seemed perfect to me, or at least did until Jilli started turning up the heat... I truly hope, if they reconnect at or after the FRC, that she can calm down a bit, and allow their chemistry to rise to the surface once again.

FWIW I think Reid is truly a sweet and gentle soul, and wish him all the blessings a lifetime can hold.

Agree. I don't think it's even right that a bachelorette or bachelor is always kissing multiple people, yuck. How can you kiss nearly everyone if you're truly falling for just 1 or 2 people, makes everything seem cheap, sleezy.

IMHO, when he was about to get into the limo, Reid smiled that kinda awkward smile at Jillian because she said "i love you" to him ..... anyone else hear that, cuz that is what I made it out to be ???

I also wondered if she "did it" with all of them, except for Ed obviously. When she was in the fantasy suite with Ed and went and changed, the thing she was wearing when she came out was very indicative of wanting it!!! It didn't leave much to the imagination.

Don't know if it has been mentioned yet but, I thnk alot of last night was scripted. The whole "problem" in the bedroom thing just didn't seem right. Usually when they get to that point the camera's leave and the you don't see anything else. Did they actually call the camera team back it to say.. look what happened.. I doubt it...I agree with the other posters that have said something seemed off about Reid's departure too.. Guess we will have to wait and see.

I absolutely agree! There is something not right about this.. as I watched the show tonight I was thinking about how uncomfortable it felt watching them on the bed as they were rubbing oil on each other and how it must have been really difficult doing that with the camera's there.. and no wonder Ed had that 'little' problem but then it hit me.. WHY WERE THE CAMERAS THERE??? I know we usually are shown a little of the 'fun' in the FS but I don't remember ever seeing this much before... I thought the FS are for them to be together WITHOUT the camera-why didn't the scene end when they were cuddling and kissing on the bed before Jillian got up to change or even right after she changed?

Not only are we shown much more than we needed to see but then we are shown the exterior of the hotel as the lights go out and the waves crashing down....and are led to believe that they are doing whatever they do in those FS's-but WITH THE CAMERA'S THERE??? I was thinking that it must of been hard for ed with the camera's there and that probably was one of those external factors he was talking about but it never occured to me until I read this post.. THE CAMERA'S SHOULDNT HAVE BEEN THERE!

Is it possible the camera's weren't there but came back to film the end of their non romantic time?? well of course but why?? seriously would jillian call and invite the camera's back into the room? Its embarrasing for both of them and I just can't imagine them asking to be filmed during that time. Once the camera's leave thats it and we never know what happens in the room. Who knows how many other bachelor's have experienced the same problem before? But it's impossible that the camera's were there-its their FS and the camera's aren't there. No way would Jillian be getting or trying to get romantic with the camera's around anyway..

I've never believed this show was scripted and I really don't want to believe that but is there any other explanation???
