I consider myself the biggest bachelor cynic in the universe, and although I love. love. loved. Jill and Ed's story and following it this whole season from their first hello, has made me sigh many times, this paragraph for Trista actually made me tear up.Some are questioning whether she picked the right guy, and some are saying flat out that he's wrong. All that matters at the end of a love story is if they are happy. Right? Who's to say what is right and wrong when it comes to love? They lived their story. They know their feelings. And I for one could not be any happier for them. I just hope in five years, they'll still be alongside Ryan and I in the ranks of success stories from the show. Congrats, guys, and all my best
I want that for them as well. And for all of the rest of us cynics that hold onto this show for the fun, for the snark, but really deep down, for the hope of the tiniest possibility of love.

Have you guys seen the chicago tribune article (10 things about Ed)? He was asked about his favorite hang out, and Jillian knew its the Blue Frog (she was answering with him). Reminded me of the rumor that he was being boisterous and banned there. Certainly, if he has anything to hide he would keep her away from the "scene of his crime" so to speak.
Ed said his favorite hang out is the Blue Frog and Green Door and since Jillian is moving there in River North downtown with him, alert chi town residents will probably hav a lot of sightings of the couple. Places that he hangs out with, cubs game (of course), Sushi Samba (fave restaurant)

I have been so engrossed and preoccupied while on my JEDI flight this week that I failed to observe the local news. After staying home from work this morning to watch Jillian and Ed on GMA and Regis, I was on a mission to go purchase the new Martina McBride CD, "Shine" with the song "I Just Call You Mine" that was featured on JED's video tribute the other night. I live near the airport, so I took all airport roads to my Barnes and Noble. There were police and county sheriff cars parked at each intersection for the entire route. I scratched my head, but didn't give it a second thought—I was on a mission. I ran in to B/N got my CD and walked out ripping open my new CD. I suddenly heard a helicopter overhead. I looked up and saw a lovely women and child facing the break between the buildings and I said, what is going on? She said looking over towards the break in the buildings, “Barack Obama is getting ready to land”. With that, I looked up and there was Air Force 1 descending towards the airport less than a mile from where I stood!
Wow, I think it is time I get my life back – I am right in the middle of a political history making moment, practically bumping into the US President and his plane Air Force 1 and the only thing I have on my mine is leaving on the JED plane!
Tomorrow . . . I will get my life back . . . tomorrow! Now off to lunch for a Hot Dog with mustard while listening to “I Just Call You Mine”.

You know, I've got to say I feel very, very sorry for those people who bought into all the rumors. Their judgements were so clouded that they didn't see what was right in front of their noses. And they may have discounted what their guts might have been telling them because of those darned rumors. Too bad for them.
Looking back and knowing he was so sincere, I think Ed was in his own way like Ryan. No, he didn't write poetry and no, he didn't give Jillian a painting of her favorite animal, but Ed was extremely romantic when the situations warranted. "I couldn't stop thinking about you" and "I'm the guy you're most compatible with" when he returned; "I see us as one of those great couples" and "You're the best part of Spain" (this, the night he realized he wanted to propose!); telling her he'd love for HER to be the reason he came home from work and didn't check his emails and how he was falling in love with her. Lots of people heard those remarks and thought he was playing her or was insincere. While we Ed fans always knew he was just a guy voicing what was in his heart.
I thought it wasvery telling that Jillian remarked today that she knew Ed was IT at the F3 RC when she talked to him and realized she could never let him go. I know Reid fans beg to differ but hearing that, it was never a choice between Ed & Reid...it was a choice between Kiptyn and Reid!! But enough about them; this is about Jillian & Ed.
I really think they have all the makings for a lifelong romance. The fact that they wanted to spend every moment they could together speaks volumes. And Ed's little snippet in Jillian's blog says it all -- She means the world to me and I promise I will take good care of her. The best part is that she's one of his best guy friends but also the person he can spend the rest of his life with....everyone in the world should be so lucky!!

Heh, you must live just a few miles from me MiniDiva! Today I was keeping my niece for my brother and so was working and hanging out at the neighborhood pool. Well ok should have been working anyway...while Air Force 1 was about to come down (and we got an excellent view of it when it did!) I was actually checking out everyone's opinion on the FoRT!!
And let me say I'm enjoying the opinions on this thread much more than a lot of them out there. I just love me some Ed and Jillian. Well except for maybe I want to steal Ed away from Jillian....oh well.
Good luck to them both. They've got a better shot than most of these couples I think!
