I think that was kind of obvious by the editing job they did this past season. Congrats to Jason and his fans.
Been waiting to hear media confirmation ~ congrats to Jason!!

Re: Bachelorette 4 New Media Update thread

I had a very strong feeling they'd pick him. ABC wants a love story and a proposal, and they'll get that with Jason. I'm sort of indifferent to him as a bachelor (sort of like Trista's Ryan, only less hot), but I'm sure lots of people will enjoy watching him.

Jlccaz, shall we organize a fall trip to Bitter End?

Oh! I just love hearing that.

Maybe ABC should have a giant Bachelor/Bachelorette mixer, air it for our consumption, maybe they'll have better success. They could ship them off to Hawaii for 2 weeks a la High School Reunion.

I'm happy for Jason...He certainly knows what he's getting into!!

I didn't much care for the quote by Chris Harrison(who I really like!) about Ty taking center stage, though. I think they are all playing with fire, by bringing a child into it...I hope they know what they're doing!!

It does open the opportunity for other bachelors to come 'back' to visit Jason, and help with his decsion-making!

On another note, I swear I just saw him in a Target advertisement (a glossy, multi-paged "back to school" mailer). The photo is of him (at least I [i]think[i]it's him) packing a child's lunchbox. Weird. NFL player, virgin bachelorette contestant, Target model. Who knew?
I got that same flyer and thought the same thing ! Definitely Ryan, though. Guess you gotta pay the bills somehow though I wouldn't think posing as a young teen would be it.

Jason will make a great bachelor. I guess we now know the real reason behind the cancellation of his charity meet with Jason shindig.

I was thinking the same thing! Maybe he already knew about the bachelor gig. But on his website, he seemed surprised and not sure why the charity thing was canceled. Anyway, I'm very excited to see him on TV again. I will be plastered to the FORT come January that's for sure!!!! Man, I just hope that whomever he falls in love with will really be there for the right reasons and not just want her 15 minutes of fame! Jason deserves to fall in love and have that love reciprocated!

Jason will be FANTASTIC!

Hope they can find 25 truly deserving women for him that also are ready for a commitment, with a child involved ..
I am hoping they let him ditch the proposal at the end..and date first..
It is so highly unrealistic after 5 weeks that anyone gets engaged let alone a guy with a young son...

If he is really feeling it and finds a GENUINE and wonderful woman who wants to be an instant MOM,then I guess he could do it..for the show,I suppose..maybe??
but it would have to be an OPTION only, not a MUST DO or a GUARANTEE as it has been on this show in the past..
Realistically that part never works out after the show anyway..as most couples don't make it..and now there is a child involved so that part is much more complicated..

The proposal ending is most often a total JOKE..
except for Mer and Ian ,Byron and Mary, and Trista and Ryan ..
and so UNROMANTIC when it is FORCED..
he should have an option OUT,in writing, of that very unrealistic/unbelievable ending..

I think a NEW format would work better..still as romantic and much more believable...

Again..CONGRATS JASON! You will be fantastic!
And you will have lots of support here..

and I am all for the friends visiting..hint ,hint

Re: Bachelorette 4 New Media Update thread

It will definately be interesting to see how Jason handles the format of the show. He OBVIOUSLY was not that upset with the Fleiss Production to submit himself and Ty to this once again.

I'm sure he and DeAnna have had some conversations on how things work.

Also hope his diehard fans are not upset when he is not as PERFECT as they would like to think he is and DeAnna should have been.
