I think TPTB told Jason and Jesse to propose to Deanna right away (before she could say anything) and they told Deanna to let the guys do the leading in the conversation.

It was my understanding from the commercials that there would be two proposals. They showed both Jason and Jesse on the knees proposing and the question was asked "which one will she accept, and which one will she reject." So I never quite understood why there was so much anger toward DeAnna for letting Jason propose. I got the impression that they both were suppose to propose.

Truer words were never uttered. How much fun we had sleuthing and laughing with Randall. I have missed the days when we had opinions but when it came to the show we only used screencaps and what we saw. Still blondie and so many others were able to analyze the show without "secret sources. or sites" I can only hope that some of the posters who were on this board long before I joined post again and get back to the old times. As far as rumors go the only thing I know for sure is screencaps never lie

The term inappropriate was the word that I used. I remember reading a post earlier where BabycakeC mentioned that Jeremy indicated things were done that wouldn't be done with the camera's around (paraphasing). I'm not even sure what thread the post was in, since I tend to jump from one to the other

ETA: I just deleted my post because I can't locate the post that I was referring to. There's too many threads to tried and find it.

I just searched BabyfaceC's posts and couldn't find anything similar to what you posted. IF anything like that happened, I would think Jason would have the good sense not to post something like that!! If he did then, perhaps, he went back and edited it himself, and that is why neither of us can find it.

I was the first that did the limo thing with, I thought wrongly, Jesse in it. The only photoshopping done on it was to use the adjusting levels and curves to bring out detail hidden in the dark. I did not put any detail in the BW original pic that I posted here on the board. To me it looked like Jesse's eyes as I had seen him look like that throughout the show BUT it kept nagging at me when I saw Jason's eyes a few times where he was not smiling (he smiles so much and his eyes shrink because they crinkle up) and lo and behold he had big eyes.

Been thinking about the Jesse girlfriend thing and something occurred to me. Seems to me that Deanna and Jesse were on the same playing field. He had a girlfriend and Deanna and Deanna had Jeremy, Jason and Graham and Jesse that she really cared about and was kissing them all ... about the time Jesse told his girlfriend goodbye, there were two-three left. So they were both in a deliberation process where they realized they wanted each other instead of anyone else in the picture. If he was up front and honest about it all I think Deanna would respect that.

Interesting....I took this differently. I mean, the commercials tell you what has already happened. I mean, since she let them both propose, the commercials will tell you that both proposed. If she had stopped Jason, they wouldn't have put that in the commercial.

Yes, she might have been told by TPTB to let both guys talk and propose. I just think at some point she could have put her foot down and said no or at least interrupted Jason earlier because what could TPTB have done at that point? Obviously Jason didn't know that it was the plan to have him propose even if he was F2 or he wouldn't have blamed her for letting it happen. It was just so strange. It was so much nicer with Trista and Meredith because they took control of the FRC and gave their speeches first like the Bachelor does. I was shocked in Jen's season when both proposed, too. You would think that someone had learned their lesson when the outcry against it was so strong then.

I will say that it must be incredibly hard for these Bachelor(ette)s to handle the demands from the producers. When Meredith made the comment to Matt on B2, you know that she was getting pressured from TPTB to give him some kind of hope. So she very slowly and hesitantly said "I would be honored if this ended in a ring from you." Well, that was the truth. She would have been honored. But she wouldn't have accepted it. He...and the audience, apparently....took it to mean that she was choosing him. And Meredith wasn't able to give him the reason why she said it when he asked at the AFTR.

Apparently they can't throw TPTB under the bus. Meredith couldn't tell Matt that she was pressured to tell him something like that. Brad couldn't say that he NEVER asked the producers to bring Deanna's father over. And Deanna couldn't tell Jason that they told her to let him propose. I would bet at some point this stuff comes out between the contestants. I would hope.
