Re: Was there a reshoot??

Here's something to ponder on...since you some are not convinced on a reshoot.
Look at the HTD:
Jeremy takes her to Dallas (His home town, his family lives there)
Graham takes her to NC (that's where he grew up, he went to high school there and his parents live there)
Jason takes her to Seattle (Jason's mom, brothers, sister-in-law, and TY lives there, it was easier to bring his dad up to Seattle than to have his entire family go to Ohio)
Jesse takes her to Breck (Jesse's family lives in Ohio not Breck, he didn't grow up there, he moved from Ohio to Breck. His business is in Breck his 2 houses are in Breck. Why not take her to Ohio?)

As for the reshoot, we can't explain it since something happened to the SC and certain posts.

Re: Was there a reshoot??

As in not being into Jason...then can someone please explain to me what was she doing in Jason's LCD? Her BLF with Jason on his LCD was completely different. As in she was in love with him...LCD, she remembered their 1st kiss. She was on the bed with him at the LCD, why would you be on the bed with someone and kissing him if she wasn't into him???

Re: Was there a reshoot??

My opinion is based on reading her comments and one where she specifically mentioned that sometimes it hard to not let biases affect her bfl readings.

I don't know what the conspiracy theories are alluding to, that maybe TPTB had her shut out of this message board, that just seems like a wild accusation. I don't think ABC or TPTB care about posters here or their opinions enough to interfere.

I think, although I did enjoy her comments, that it must be hard for her to admit she was given false "insider" info and led to believe that Jason was the f1.

I think people will look for conspiracy theories or whatever they like but the outcome is still the same, Jesse was the final choice. And after all this is just a show for entertainment. Nobody's life is at stake here.

Hmmm. If it were me I'd rather see where my potential husband lives and how he lives and bring in the parents. She saw Jeremy's place, she was in Jason's area, but went to his folks place, and she saw Graham's parents place. I'm sure each man took her somewhere they had sentimental ties to. I am sure Jesse has a lot of ties to Ohio, but it was also important to him that DeAnna see the snowboarding side of his life, it's been such an integral part to his identity it seems for years. And since his parents were able to make it to Breckenridge DeAnna was able to meet them as well.

I'm not following what you are saying about SC (is that screencaps?) and posts. I capped the entire FRC of both Jason and Jesse from the airing of the episode, if you want caps you can PM me I'd be happy to send them to you.

Thank you for your sympathy, although I certainly wasn't looking for it and it is definitely not needed. Also thank you for inquiring about my definition of integrity. I appreciate your curiosity. Honestly I've never said a negative word about Jason, and I'm not going to. I don't think he did the reshoot because he has too much integrity to act out a lie. As other posters have stated TPTB have a lot of control over the conestants from their contract. They can make them kiss before leaving the couple alone, they can make them say things in PI's, they are given talking points to cover during 1 on 1 times, they can ask them to replay certain scenes (which kind of makes the whole BFL thread moot), but the contestants have to make the choice to go along with it. Stories are out there about threatening contestants with edits, or enticing them with special "treats". The contestants however are still within their rights to resist. Acting out a fake proposal would definitely show me a lack of integrity. It's not the "right" thing to do and it is the easy way out. Integrity would be shown in standing up for your beliefs and facing the music that things did not work out if this was the case. The right thing to do would be to be honest. And it wouldn't be easy, because the contestant would have to answer some hard questions about their culpability in the situation.

I'll say it again. Jason has too much integrity to act out a reshoot. IMO it did not happen, for this reason and for so many more. And if you have arguments as to otherwise I invite you to bring them forward on this board.

Just for comparison's sake the tree also appears in Jesse's FRC close to the pink trees:

I think your last screen cap in this set provides the most solid "evidence" for me. That both the evergreen and the pink flowers should have been too far in the background to look as large as they do and, yet ... they do. Maybe it all got moved in closer for the close up shots, or it's a funny camera trick, but the tree shows it isn't just about pink flowers.

I am convinced that there was most certainly a reshoot. Why the reshoot, well no clue, but I would say there was.

I have to say I'm closer to casualfan on this one. Talking about ethics, integrity, and not taking the easy road in the context of a scripted reality show simply seems out of place. There are ways to take high v. low roads within the process, but I don't think agreeing or not agreeing to something like a reshoot has anything to do with integrity. It would just be one more thing you had to do if you had already boarded the Fleiss ship. And I would consider it a distasteful obligation to all involved. It reaps slimy, that a reshoot with a different ending would be made at all. No matter how much it could be said it was for the sake of the show, it involves lying. Do you realize that you basically said lying in this situation was the right thing to do? To my eyes, it would have been much more ethical to tell the real story.
And interesting to watch, actually.

Do you think there was a reshoot with a different ending, or just reshoots of the scenes, shortly after the first?

Personally, I think it was both.

Jason would do what he was contractually obligated to do, and if that means a re-shoot of certain things then he'd do it. Just like Jerry did on Jen's season. The overhead view of Jen's FRC at the beginning of DeAnna's first episode was a wee hint, in my most humble opinion.

Clearly we will not agree on the subject, and that's cool.
