Except that Jen did something during her 'ette season...she just did it at ATFR instead of FRC and that's why we haven't seen a Bachelorette in 4 years. Glad to see it is back. I was bored with the London guy's show but this series looks to be interesting. I liked Deanna on Brad's season, although I was rooting for Jenni as F1. Deanna looked great last night but couldn't they give her a dress that fit a little better? I thought the length could have been a little shorter; I hate when dresses drag on the ground...all that $$ spent so it could be ruined? Also she couldn't dance or walk without picking up the dress.

How annoying....

DeAnna was beautiful last night, but that dress was so impractical. Here she should be walking around meeting people and she keeps stepping on her ridiculously long dress. She has nice legs - cocktail dress!

As expected, I disliked her just as much as I did originally. I found her to be just as dull and superficial, and time will tell if I find her to be just as unpleasant and self-involved as I did last time.

Nice intro on Deanna.

I think this starts today in Canada. It will be interesting just to see another Bachelorette show. It has been way too long. I do wish Deanna luck, but I have to admit, I'm usually suspicious of guys who go on shows like this. But you never know.

Am I the only one who thinks Deanna's just a little bit scary? She can be charming and fun, and she's a "guy's girl" in terms of liking to do competitive, daring, athletic stuff. But she brings new meaning to the term Steel Magnolia as far as being tough as nails under that "sweet" exterior.

Plus there's a major stalkerish vibe (even though she's the one being pursued this time). I just cringe every time she says, "At the end of this, I believe one of you is going to be my husband." It's like some strange cultish brainwashing exercise where she seems to think that if she says it enough times, they will be in her power.

I think these not so well-hidden control issues are the thing that scared Brad off the last time around. On their last date, she was telling him in no uncertain terms how their life together was going to be, and I was thinking "Run Brad!" Up until then, I had found her a charmingly strong personality. At that point, I just thought she seemed bossy, and I wasn't surprised when he backed out.

That said, I'll probably watch this time around, because I'm fascinated by the dynamics she's creating.

That was my take on the Brad season as well. I really don't think he had no intention of choosing, but rather had a change of heart at the end when he realized she was probably too abrasive for him.

She's not everyones cup of tea, who is? I think DeAnna is a warm, funny, grounded, beautiful person. Don't put too much stock in the lines like the one you quoted, as it is more than likely producer induced and not her choice.

As far as Brad goes, I think it became pretty obvious when the paparazzi caught him having dinner in Las Vegas with his ex during the time frame that he was on the Ellen show crying "I'm hurting too" and "I've not so much as even had a cup of coffee with a woman" ....well it became obvious that he's a liar and his whole stint on the show was a charade.
