The article is called:
"Bachelorette" contestant Jason Mesnick: The nice guy who didn't finish last" in the Seattle Times Newspaper.

From reading the article, it appears that he still hasn't been approached for The Bachelor. The final casting call for the upcoming Bachelor is in Tacoma, WA on Tuesday, 8/5. I wonder how many might show up in hopes that it's going to be for Jason?
That really was a great read! The guy is very humble and down to earth.

As for De and Jesse - I am hoping that they can break the curse. So far, only Trista and Ryan have been able to do so - and I think Ryan put it best. Get out of the spotlilght and work at it.
deanna made her choice at least second time around, she needs to live with
her pick.

In Jason's latest interview, he mentioned that he had spoken to both Jesse and DeAnna in the past week. He said that they are both very happy. It was a nice interview with Jason. He is busy with his son and his job for the time being. I think he would like to be the next "Bachelor" from the sound of it.

I am wishing that he finds a woman without Fliess's influence. He is such a catch that should need to go through that process again. IMO

Re: Jason - Bachelorette 4

I really really hope he is *not* the next Bachelor. I just sense train-wreck of epic proportions, somehow.

The man has a good job, he's not a freak, he has a nice kid, a nice family....he should be able to find a hundred girls tomorrow that are seriously interested in him, the ex-wife baggage included. Hope he finds his girl. He's not my type at all, too eager, but I think he's a nice guy who deserves a nice girl who will live happily ever after in rainy Seattle.

I so hope that *all* the guys from this past season stay the heck off The Bachelor.

Didn't they figure out by now how nearly impossible it is to figure out what they heck you're doing when you're on the show, how unlikely it is that you'll find someone with whom there's both a good mutual attraction and long-term compatibility, and how easy it is to make much of America hate your guts, even -- maybe even especially -- when they already kind of know you going in and imagine they like you? Argh.

If they want to find love, they should stay off the show, in my opinion.

And the show's track record for getting anybody any kind of long-term media/entertainment job is crummy, as well. You'd think that fact would also be clear to a bunch of apparently smart guys like this.

Are they really so dazzled just by the danged tv cameras? That's astonishing to me. What kind of crazy narcissistic society are we that just having cameras pointed at you can be such a lure for presumably intelligent -- and good-looking -- people (who probably get stared at and hit on by girls plenty, just in real life)?

(And, for me, all of this goes double, triple, quadruple for Jason, since he'd inevitably be dragging his child into it even more than last time, which just can't be a great idea, as far as I can see.)

You mean he should NOT need to go through that process again. I agree, wholeheartedly. I don't want to see these same people go through all of that emotional mess again.

Actually I think it has been less emotional for the contestants than it has for some of their fans!!

It was an emotional trainwreck this season. I know it is in all seasons but this was was the worst I have seen. Jason, as well as the the guys really should have no trouble finding a great lady who rocks their world in the good way.

This season is prety much on par with Meredith & Ian except that we now have Myspace and Facebook to keep getting info on the couple. In those days we had to rely on the news media!

Several forums that still are in existance today spun off that turmoil! It seems so strange that it has been going on for that many years now! Some of us are like family!
