Absolutely! That's why the majority of viewers care more about what happens to Jason than what happens with De/Jesse. I don't know how I feel about him as the next bachelor. On one hand, I would love to see him plastered on my T.V. screen for a couple of hours every week, yet I have reservations based on the past successes, or lack thereof. I have a feeling that LOTS of young ladies are wishing they lived in Seattle right about now! I don't think Jason, or Jeremy for that matter will have any problems finding women to date. They'll more likely have to be fighting them off with a stick! LOL

I really do not want to see Jason as the next bachelor. Not that I don't think he would be great, because I think he would. I just think that he can find someone without involving Fleiss and his minions.

I am no huge DeAnna fan, but I find it very odd that people are quick to blame "editing" when I point out that Jason did not seem terribly devastated in the limo, and in fact seemed to be floating the idea of himself as next Bach, but when it comes to DeAnna they refuse to see that editing might be in play.

I think it is nice that De and Jessie are having Jason and little Ty visit them. IF he was so hurt, I don't think that would be happening.

I am personally NOT a fan of any "retreads" on shows...period. I frankly think Jason has the potential to be "hated" about as much as Bob the Blob and Jen Scheff and Brad himself however, mainly cause he brings his little boy into the crazy mix.

I can easily forsee a potential show where there will be a "single mom" with some equally cute kids, and people will spin dreams of the blended family, a Brady Bunch for 2009, until Jason picks a possibly "hotter" single gal with no kids ....I am laying money that Fleiss will take ONE comment by said childless young hottie and blow it out of proportion ...like maybe during a long long day of filming with Ty and Jason at an amusement park or something she might say something like she is "tired of Ty crying" or whatever...Fleiss will run this comment over and over....the same group who loved de now hate de will snatch that up and use it as a battle cry "hottie hates kids"..

when Jason "leads on" the mom to final 2...as the script says he must...he will become the newest bach villian LOL

I am taking bets on this if he gets this "gig"<grin>

Oh...and talk about history repeating...remember the much loved "Adam", the cute "Average Joe" whose heart was "broken"....wow women fans adored him, until he picked the "hottie" who loved to shop and dress up her little dog over the smart but plain Average Jane at the end of his season. MY guess is that Jason's season will mirror Adam's when he refuses to pick the "one" that viewers "want' LOL
I dont recall Jason ever stating anything during the show about being the next bachelor. As for post show, reporters ask him if he would do it, he says he would consider it, but NOBODY has contacted him about it. Even though he said he would consider it, does not mean he will do it. When BV first said that ABC was editing Jason to be the next bachelor, I shot those ideas down. I really didn't want Jason to do it, and didn't think he needed too. I still dont think he needs to do it, but I am warming up to the idea, but agree with Sunny Peach about not wanting him to be Fleissed. I think everybody has watched enough of this shows to know that unfortunately one person goes home broken-hearted. Was I angry that Jason went home broken-hearted, no, I was angry that she had him get down on one knee and propose. She could have done it the Trista way, and made it much easier for Jason. You dont play with people's emotions that way. I also was angry with the edit. The edit clearly pointed to Jason's way, and we all missed this "wonderful" love story between DeAnna and Jesse that people are trying to cram down our throat after the fact. I think it is great some see it, but I dont see it no matter how many times I rewind the tape and watch it. We all see things differently, I guess that is what makes the world go around. If Jason is the Bachelor, of course he will have to break hearts. Of course there will be people angry that their favorite was roseless at the end of the journey. However, in the end I hope we actually see the love story from the beginning to the end, and not end up scratching our heads saying "where did that love story come from." This is what happened with the Deanna and Jesse's journey, and I am still scratching my head.

Yes Jason has said that he did propose. He even asked DeAnna at the AFRC why he let him propose to her, and her reply was "I guess I got caught up in the moment", sorry but that is a very lame excuse to me. I am sure that there are many other people who feel the same as me. As for the pedestal he isn't on one as far as I am concerned, but he seems to be a genuine, nice guy.

Jason is a bit of a local celeb - and throwing a ball out at a baseball game is great for him - hope he has a great time

Re: Jason - Bachelorette 4

Jason will not have any editing capacity on his show, just as none of them had editorial rights.

Oh and as for Deanna and Trista...this show is scripted/directed/edited, they don't get to decide the timing of the last rose ceremony...clearly Trista and Meredith's script had them speaking first....De's for some Fleiss reason had her silent....Jesse got down and proposed...Jason started to and she brought him up and spoke with him.

Whether or not you "see the love story" , if there is one, has nothing to do with Jason himself. The producers edit the show not Jason or De or any of them.

I stick by my guns. Look back a couple years and see the way the beloved Average Joe was "hated" once he had his own show. "Historically" the retreads get more "flack" ...this has happened over and over. "New" bachelors/bachelorettes don't engender the same sort of reaction for the most part except for the weirdo Brad

I sure remember all the people worrying about Deanna and wanting her for bachelorette...I said back then that I don't like retreads and repeaters on any reality show...and I predicted correctly that some of her "fans" would turn on her if she did not pick the fan favorite for the final rose. I was right then... <blush>I am right now...I am almost hoping they do choose Jason as the bachelor cause I can't wait to see the people who love him roast his butt over his choices, over him using Ty as a supporting character and who knows what else. LOL>> let me pop some popcorn and let the fun begin tee hee

If your waiting for that, you might actually be disapointed. He might actually pick the fan favorite, and it will be another Andrew and Jen, hopefully without the breakup part. I agree, I am upset at the edit, not blaming De or Jesse for that one. However, as the proposal goes, She did not immediately bring Jason up. Jason, who happened to be there, said he was down there alot longer than the edit showed. I believe him, he has been nothing but gracious and respectful towards De and Jesse through this whole thing. I give him alot of credit to be able to move forward, and continue to be friends with them.

Jason does seem like a really great guy. He always impressed me on the show as being very intuitive about situations and people, as well. He and Jesse seemed like they got to be pretty good friends when they were in the house, too. I think it's really cool that he and Ty are going to meet DeAnna and Jesse at Mt. Hood.

Re: Jason - Bachelorette 4

Where did Jason actually say he was "down there a lot longer"??? Link please?

As for him picking the fan favorite....why would Fleiss do that?? I think he prefers the controversy LOL...

remember the "favorite" is the favorite often due to careful editing.

No one has addressed my relevant example of the way the beloved Adam became the detested Adam when he "broke the fav's heart" and picked the more airhead "hottie" <grin>

I sure do think Jason's season could end up that way...especially if they bring single mom's into the mix

The new show "Must Love Kids" seems a more respectful and tasteful version of the bachelor/ette...with more real life situations and people who are geographically possible for each other...and the potential suitors know in advance that the women have kids. However, it is NOT getting the ratings and coverage that the more splashy Fleiss shows get...the fact is that Fleiss creates these dramas for ratings and that is why the show marches on despite it's poor track record

To keep some people happy the "one" would tell all the contestants to go home half way through so as "not to hurt them" and drift off into the sunset with the one they choose...no final rose, no hoopla...spare the feelings...and then the show would be canceled and people sued....oh my

And I'll be right there enjoying it as well, whether it is Jason or Jeremy, there will be lots of joyous snark coming their way.
