Jason - Bachelorette 4

I think it is unfair to criticize Jason for the overwhelming fan reaction to the show. I am sure he had no idea that this would happen. It looks to me like DeAnna and Jesse are seeking publicity and it is just coming naturally to Jason (throwing out ball at Mariners game tomorrow night, judging at a Kirkland event on Saturday, etc.). There are parts of me that would like him to stay far away from the Bachelor because of what the editors, Fleiss, the general public, etc. could do to him, but it sure would be nice to see him again on Monday nights!

Actually, it's the fans that are leading the charge, not Jason. He's wildly popular with the viewing audience and they are letting their voice be heard. I believe CH says "they'd be bona fide idiots not to consider him." He's being asked the question in interviews and moves on to the next topic. As Atem pointed out, most of these articles are based on one post-show conf call.

As far as his parenting choices, those are his to make. He appears to be a dedicated father and met with his child's pediatrician and a child psychologist about his participation in the show. I trust them to know the situation better than TV viewers. Based on CH's comments, ABC also appears to be considering working around his parenting situation in order to make it a go.

I don't think they are seeking publicity, they are simply executing appearances that they must tend to because of their contracts.

I concur. I would love to see him as the Bachelor, yet like you I'm a bit unsure of how he will be edited. He seems like a nice, regular guy who is interested in finding love. I'm all for that.

I agree... she needed to pick who she thought was best for her. I can't believe that I am going to defend DeAnna, but here it goes... While they were taping her "journey" on The Bachelorette, DeAnna has NO CLUE as to what Fleiss is going to air about her or any of the Bachelors contending for her heart. So DeAnna didn't know who the "fan favorite's" were. She just did what she thinks or knows is best for her. She definitely isn't in the editing room... though I am sure she wished she was! I don't think they showed her in a positive light at all.

My opinion of her still hasn't changed... I really didn't like her in Brad's season, and I gave her another chance and she still didn't come through to me as someone I would like. And that's ok! But we can't blame her for how the stories were told by Fleiss.

She does not have to come out and denied it. Right now in this time of her life she is visiting Jesse's family and spending time getting to know her future inlaws, why should she spent her time answering Jasons interviews? If they ask her when she is being interview then that is where she needs to address the situation. As long as her and Jesse knows the truth, and her family and friends too, then not answering someone who was dumped is no skin off her back. All Jason have to do is move on with his life. Jason flat out asked her at the ATFR. She should have denied it then if it wasn't true. She didn't, instead she said she got caught up in the moment. That pretty much says to me that she let him go through with it. BabyfaceC said that he would not have posted that if he was not 100% sure of the source who told him that information. Jesse was the first person to post on Jason's myspace page and Dee has posted on it more than once. Doesn't sound like any hard feelings by any of them. They have all moved on and seem to be friends. Like Chaslom said Jason asked her point blank at the AFRC why she let him get down and propose, he response was she got caught up in the moment. I don't buy that for a second, why would you allow someone you were not in love with to get down and propose, when the man of your dreams will be walking up the sidewalk next to sweep you off your feet. Also Jason has moved on, as have they so I too believe it is nough said.

My thoughts exactly Jewelsong!! They can only work with what you give them. If you are a good person through and through, it will be very hard for them to villanize you. If you are a jerk through and through... they can't make you an angel.

I agree BV, nobody should have to feel they should choose someone that they are not in love with, that in itself is foolish. DeAnna has said that she wanted to find the man of her dreams. Did she find him, well only she really knows that for sure. I believe that Jesse was the best choice for DeAnna and what she really wanted out of this expirience. The men she let go will not have troubles finding their soulmates in the real world. Most of them seem to be great guys.

I remember when people were moaning that "jerry" was hurt by Jen...or Matt by Meredith...it is always this way.

I am no huge DeAnna fan, but I find it very odd that people are quick to blame "editing" when I point out that Jason did not seem terribly devastated in the limo, and in fact seemed to be floating the idea of himself as next Bach, but when it comes to DeAnna they refuse to see that editing might be in play.

I think it is nice that De and Jessie are having Jason and little Ty visit them. IF he was so hurt, I don't think that would be happening.

I am personally NOT a fan of any "retreads" on shows...period. I frankly think Jason has the potential to be "hated" about as much as Bob the Blob and Jen Scheff and Brad himself however, mainly cause he brings his little boy into the crazy mix.

I can easily forsee a potential show where there will be a "single mom" with some equally cute kids, and people will spin dreams of the blended family, a Brady Bunch for 2009, until Jason picks a possibly "hotter" single gal with no kids ....I am laying money that Fleiss will take ONE comment by said childless young hottie and blow it out of proportion ...like maybe during a long long day of filming with Ty and Jason at an amusement park or something she might say something like she is "tired of Ty crying" or whatever...Fleiss will run this comment over and over....the same group who loved de now hate de will snatch that up and use it as a battle cry "hottie hates kids"..

when Jason "leads on" the mom to final 2...as the script says he must...he will become the newest bach villian LOL

I am taking bets on this if he gets this "gig"<grin>

Oh...and talk about history repeating...remember the much loved "Adam", the cute "Average Joe" whose heart was "broken"....wow women fans adored him, until he picked the "hottie" who loved to shop and dress up her little dog over the smart but plain Average Jane at the end of his season. MY guess is that Jason's season will mirror Adam's when he refuses to pick the "one" that viewers "want' LOL
