Re: Jason - Bachelorette 4

I felt as if I were the only person questioning the appearance of Jason's child on the show. It just seems that the same effect could have been accomplished by Jason talking about his son and the things they do and that were important to him. It will be interesting to see if the child appears again and how he is used. I cannot imagine our Georgia peach liking Seattle weather very much.

I have been wondering some of the same things. Jason's son looks adorable, but very young, and so, I wondered how his mom felt about his being on tv.

From what we've heard his mom wasn't really ready to be a mom and doesn't play that big of a role in his life. But I would assume that if Ty's mom has any say in what happens with him, then Jason probably talked to her about it. I don't think he'd let Ty be on TV without the mother's approval.

I really like Jason, he has come off as such a good guy since we first me him. He is a great dad to his son too, it's admirableand I think Deanna would agree. I cant wait to see the two of them to interact more.

Thanks for the info Estella. I just hope the little tike doesn't get hurt in this process. But he probably only sees DeAnna once, so maybe it is ok. He probably sees his dad with other women.

We don't even know if Ty ever gets to see DeAnna... and if he does, so what? If Jason and DeAnna start dating, than it will be no different to Ty than if Jason had met someone at work and started dating her. If Ty met DeAnna and never sees her again, because Jason is not F1, he won't even remember her. My 4-year-old-cousin sees me about three times a year (for a short time only), and he never knows who I am... lol

Re: Jason - Bachelorette 4

I'm not on board with Jason yet. He's a little too sweet so far for my tastes. I need sweet AND hot. Like a chinese soup. None of that matters, however, as I'm not the Bachelorette. But, bad form not mentioning his son, the center of his universe. I'm a woman who hasn't had children yet, and I prefer to date men without kids because I want to share that first child experience together. It matters a lot to some women. It may not matter to DeAnna. But if you're really looking for an honest and true connection, full disclosure is probably the way to go. I'm jus' sayin'...

Re: Jason - Bachelorette 4

I'm kind of put off by the fact that he left his son for this show and that he is allowing his son to be filmed... I wonder what he told his son about all this?

I just don't see anything remotely attractive in this guy. He's not my type, I guess (if I was more his age).

Re: Jason - Bachelorette 4

I'm glad that the powers that be actually allowed telephone contact between him and his son. Previously, my understanding was that telephone calls and pretty much all contact with family was not allowed (Exception of Meredith and call that grandmother had passed but that was special circumstances)

I'm not sure that the mom is in the picture much. You can read about their wedding on the Knot link. Kinda sad when you think about it.

However, as a stepmother of two fantastic stepkids... I know what Deanna would be facing. It's truly a joy to be a mom to children...doesn't matter if you gave birth to them or not!
