He has always been great, but I never saw him w/ De. Last night, I really saw why she kept him this long.

What really has me curious is why Jesse wants to meet Dee's father before he accepts a fantasy suite card. Does he want to ask him if it's okay to sleep with his daughter?

I actually thought that was sweet and that he was being a gentleman. I know that if it were me, I would totally respect that and you bet my dad would. He's very protective and gets very angry when he thinks that his baby (me ) isn't getting the respect she deserves. He has run off a couple of guys for this reason. I was mad at first but realized that he was right because they both turned out to be real jerks.

I have totally done a 180 with regards to Jesse. I think that he has gotten a "hidden" edit. Twilley said he saw her ending up with Jesse in the end out of the 4 guys that were left so I'm sure he saw something that we haven't seen in the edit. Well, last night I saw it. They seem to be genuine friends and that's the most important thing. And last week, they showed her wanting to be romantic with him and he so totally was last night. After that kiss, there's no question in my mind that he has genuine feelings for her. Now the question is who she sees herself with. I definitely think that there is possible long term potential there. I totally loved his parents too. His dad was like a future version of Jesse and his mom was totally adorable and sweet. I'd still like to cut his hair off (I love long hair but it's not flattering on him ) but I've decided that I really like him. Now I'm torn between Jesse or Jason. I think they would both be good matches for her in different ways and for different reasons.

I actually like Jesse a lot too and thought it was cute, but I'm just saying, I can't see a guy (any guy) wanting to make sure it's okay with dad before he spends the night with you! Not saying that was his motive, but the scene just came across as funny to me.

Still not my cup of tea, but much more likeable based on last night's show! I think he and Deanna are the best match of the bunch. They are in the same place with regards to their careers and emotional development.

I love the way Jesse is being edited - such a surprise. He's so real TPTB just couldn't hide his genuine side. Jesse is such a wake up call and reminder to us to not judge the person by the wrapping - in his case, long hair, casual clothing and hip talk. But it could be skin color, kinky hair, freckles or even hideous birth marks or heaven forbid, crooked teeth!

My take on his reaction in being presented the fantasy card is he has never had a woman like Deanna, a lady so-to-speak, as a girlfriend. Jesse is being a better person for Deanna because he wants to rise to the level that he feels she is worthy. I know some of you nay-sayers are going to say he's still trying to dodge his girlfriend he still has on the hook at home. I think he's too genuine to pull off that charade this late in the show. His parents are straight, god-believing folk (cool, too) and Jesse has probably been raised to be respectful of his girlfriends. Deanna is the worthy one of that respect - thus questioning the fantasy card. Bets are on that he stayed the night however!

ITA, I could tell they edited that clip to make it look like he was serious. I'm sure that when she says "Are you for real?" that he comes back with "No way, man, sweeet, bring it on!" (obviously I'm not fluent in snowboarder lingo, but you get the drift)

I am starting to get this weird sweet feeling about Jesse...
That he just may be the under the radar guy after all. That the good stuff has been edited out. That TPTB have set this up to be a Jason vs Jeremy match, whild Jesse passes them both by. One thing that resonated with me was Dee saying that the process with Jesse was the most natural one. ie the way it would have come about in the real world. That its progress was natural.(Their kiss seemed the most romantic and genuine of them all!)
By the same token, she keeps referring to the other J's as perfect as thus something to be feared...She unfortunately can't trust it.
She does not fear Jesse. I say they are well- matched. Her mentioning to him that she needs someone with backbone was very telling to me. She is in essence asking him if he can handle her. I don't think she would treat a partner as a doormat-it's more that she recognizes that she goes over the line ("I am brutally honest" comes to mind) and that she needs someone who while gently tell her she's crossed it. So it's more about wanting to curb her own behaviour that she knows is hurtful to others and herself. Again, not no harp on the orphan dynamic, but it needs to be said-they test people over and over again to make sure they are 'worthy' of all the love the orphan has been keeping in a beautiful box waiting to be opened by the 'chosen one'.
(This is also why I would not want Jeremy caught in this crossfire. Again, he needs his own rock of Gibraltar!)
I think Dee would also love Jesse's lifestyle. And she could make tons of money in Colorado! So jump starting her carreer there would not be that hard-her notoriety would help that cause. And of course they would go boogie boarding with Ryan and Trista! Which is really the fairytale ending the producers want for themselves! Ah come on, it might come true!
