Jesse was such a unique individual, unlike anyone I've seen on the show before. I really feel that they are the best match. She had such an ease with Jesse. I don't think relationships have to be difficult to mean they're great.

I think he "had her at hello." I think she had to get past her own ideas of what she was looking for to realize this, but I think she was drawn to him from the beginning. Jesse is the snowboarder "dude," but I think within him lurks an entrepreneurial spirit with a heart of gold.

I hope we see him and DeAnna happy for many years to come. He seems to really get her. He thought she was way out of his league, but in the long run, I think he fills something in her that's been missing. The People article quotes Jesse as saying, "I would do anything for her. I love her to death." I think he means it.

I've been getting older and more cynical, and seeing the two of them has been like a breath of fresh air for me. I love seeing them having fun and acting silly, and enjoying each other. Life's too short not to IMHO.

I am in 100% in agreement with your whole post. I like this statement the most, "The People article quotes Jesse as saying, "I would do anything for her. I love her to death."

DeAnna has someone who loves her to death. Hopefully, that is what anyone, who wants to be married, wants and gets. So for them (JESSE AND DEANNA, I pray that it is 'til death do they part.

Wow, Sherri. I couldn't have said it better myself. I agree 100%. I love seeing how they are just enjoying life and having fun together. De made the right choice, for sure. I think he means it too when he said that he loved her to death, especially before the FRC when he got teary-eyed and wasn't sure if she wasn't going to pick him. When he got there, he said that it kills him inside not being with her. Jesse's the real deal, can't get any better than that. I can see De and Jesse lasting, because they are perfect for each other and they are going to have a happy family and be married, have kids, etc. Imagine how cute their kids would be! I always love it when he would always run up to her when he sees her and always tells her how pretty she looks, etc. And he always picks her up when he hugs her! Ah, I can go on and on but I'll stop here

I agree with everything you said. The above part really struck home with me, because it's what I've been telling my best friend. I think most women who look like DeAnna have a certain expectation of what their husband will look like. He'll be gorgeous too, a conventionally handsome guy like Brad (who does NOTHING for me, but I can see why others are attracted to him).

Because of these expectations, a lot of women who look like De would have sent Jesse home the first night. She had to cut 10 guys at once, it would have been very easy to send him off in the shuffle. He didn't fit the "tall dark and handsome Southern gentleman" she told Ellen DeGeneres she was looking for. Jesse himself was counting on this to happen.

It speaks volumes about DeAnna's character that she looked past the loud jacket, the jeans, the sneakers, the broken nose, his height, and that awful greased down hair. (I really liked his hair long, just not with that junk in it.) She saw something in him that impressed her, and she was willing to give him a chance. That says everything I need to know about DeAnna.

And thank God for Jenni too, I think her stamp of approval helped Jesse get the FIB, which put Jesse in the house that first week, where Jesse made breakfast for De every morning, she cooked him pancakes for his birthday and threw a little party for him, etc. They had a lot of opportunities to talk in the first week that we don't know anything about, and it was the perfect foundation for their friendship.

I feel exactly the same way, Jesse and De have melted my cynical heart.

Apologies in advance if this has been mentioned before. I watched the first episode again tonight and noticed something cute for De/Jesse fans.

De is sitting on the couch and talking to a big guy. She says:

"Marriage for me is one time. I will do it one time and one time only."

Guess who pops over the couch next?

"I'm stealing her, dawg!" Yep.

I believe that was an intentional F1 edit, it'd be a huge coincidence if Jesse actually climbed over the couch at that exact moment in the conversation.

She loved it all right! Shortly after that she cracked up when Jesse threatened to kick Sean in the nuts 5 times. They get each other's sense of humor.

I got a kick out of Jesse recreating the couch jump on the ATFR show, that was adorable.

I'm a little late to the tribute video game, but then I saw Jason Mraz perform "I'm Yours" (a song I LOVE) on Letterman last week and it struck me how well it fit Jesse and DeAnna. Since I've been on vacation this week, I finally had the time to make the video.
