| Re: Jesse - Bachelorette 4 I had Jason as the front runner from the first show (mostly based on the amount of screen time that he and Ty got), but last week, after reading and listening to a few interviews with DeAnna, and listening to some of the VOs and PIs from last week's show, I'm completely going Jesse. Jesse has always been my favorite, although I never thought he was the best match for Dee. I actually thought Jeremy was "perfect" for her, but I am convinced now that she chooses Jesse. |

| Re: Jesse - Bachelorette 4 I liked Jesse since his hometown date. I thought both his parents were great and it seemed like a really fun, easy-going visit for Deanna. Up until that point I wondered why she'd kept him around because he didn't seem like her "type". I don't have a whole lot of respect for Jason's decision to go on the show. Divorced parents shouldn't have to remain single until their children turn 18, but I don't think this show is the right way to go about finding a partner if you have a child. JMO.

Not to mention, I would really hate to see her end up with Jason and have Ty get attached when she clearly isn't over Graham (or Brad). Whomever she picks, that relationship is going to be very unhealthy and probably won't last long. At least Jesse can pick himself and dust himself off if things don't work out. Girlfriend is nuts...as nuts as nuts can be!! ![]()

I have no problem with a single father finding love but if you have a child that child has to be included in that process so how can you meet someone and possibly ask them to marry you when they have only met your child once![]()

| Re: Jesse - Bachelorette 4 I'm bringing this over from the aftermath thread because they're all about Jason at the moment adn I doubt anyone even read this post once they saw I was pro-Jesse. Does anyone else see what I see? I know I'm in the minority, but I totally see a Jesse/De love story in the edit. It built slower, and IMO, more like a real life love story. Sure, she went into this looking for the fairy tale, and he didn't go into it expecting to find love at all, but maybe they ended up with a little more reality than we usually see in a reality TV show. Unfortunately, TPTB did leave some of it out, but the basis of it is there. From the beginning, she was a bit intrigued and didn't want to dismiss him. Maybe she even kept him around to show us all how open minded she is. But then he stayed in the house and she made him pancakes (see interview below). You've seen how he reacts to her (actually the producers) doing wonderful things for their dates. He is overjoyed, appreciative, and expressive. But this was real, not producer-driven. Unfortunately, we didn't see it. But De did. And she continues to see how nice, sweet, funny, caring he is, as he's always by her side. She says in MTA, "In every shot, What two people do you always see sitting next to me? Jeremy and Jesse. Always." And we wonder why the other guys (reportedly) didn't like Jesse? I think it's clear, and it's the same reason they didn't like Jeremy. Look back at their poolside chat, where he's holding hands with her under the table. This is where we see him really start to fall. And he wants to kiss her, but he doesn't want it to be in front of all the other guys, so he waits 'til the time is right and they're alone. And this made DeAnna want him more, because our girl wants what she can't have. On the HTD, she finally sees him in his element, and it's downright sexy and exciting to her. The man's got skills. He may not have a three-year-old, but she definitely saw what a great dad he could be when he was teaching her to snowboard. No doubt they talked about how he makes a living coaching kids, his non-profit foundation, and how his competitive snowboarding years are nearly behind him. It wouldn't surprise me one bit if this is where they talked about his endorsement/promotion deals and where she saw the shrewd businessman in him. De's got the media bug herself, and she can see how alike they are. I'd kick someone in the n#$^% five times to see what we missed on this date, because methinks it was GOOD. Look at the picture in the book Jesse gives her on the LCD. He's in his swim trunks and she's wearing a white bikini under her snowboarding "onezee." Looks like a romantic dip in the hottub surrounded by snowy mountains to me. Wow! I hope they'll show that on Monday. Also in the book is the "late night talks over fondue" comment. Again, more that we didn't get to see. And of course, during the HTD he kisses her in the carriage. If you watch it again, he says something to her between kisses, while they're still lil-to-lip. <sigh> I wonder why we didn't get to hear it? Too obvious, maybe? At dinner during the FD, Jesse says, "When I asked you today about the living situation..." then they discuss Breckenridge, moving around, etc. This clearly shows another serious conversation we didn't get to see. But it's at least referenced, so we know this isn't the first time they talked about it. Now look back at her FD on the beach with Jesse. Their touching is very intimate, very comfortable, very loving. When they're sitting by the fire, he has his arms around her and he's stroking the back of her thigh. I don't know about y'all, but just because I kiss a guy, doesn't mean I'm gonna let him touch me like that. I also remember a shot from either FD or LCD preview, where they're in the water, and she's standing behind him, with her arms around him. Again, big sigh! There's more there too, in the water, on the sand. Watch it with an open mind, maybe even without the voiceovers. It's there, and I think this is why she chooses another secluded beach date for their LCD. This is THEM, TOGETHER. If you're still reading, I also submit for your review the following commentary from Ron, Twilley, and De herself. Enjoy! Ron's post on June 10, after viewing De and Jesse's one-on-one Natasha Beddingfield date: I really liked her edit though... and thought she was very personable on her date with Jesse, she sort of changed into this person that was inspiring to watch. That relationship is beginning to intrigue me. Twilley, during his June 19 conference call: Twilley added Jesse is the only remaining suitor he really sees as having a chance at a working relationship with Pappas. "I know that might seem strange, but I just feel like they have a really unusual connection," he told Reality TV World. "It's going to be unexpected and I think it will happen during the fantasy dates. I think the more she'll get to know him the more she'll like him. Of the four left, I think they're the best fit." The reason why Twilley singling out Jesse seems "strange" is because the 25-year-old professional snowboarder from Breckenridge, CO seems to lack a romantic connection with Pappas, at least to home viewers. "I know what Jesse's whole plan for his first kiss is. I don't want to go into that, but I just think that there's a lot of stuff you just see behind the edit. Jesse's the guy that she always kind of went over and was talking to anytime she had a chance," Twilley told reporters during the call. "I just see a lot of sparks between them, that's all." Deanna on July 2 conference call: You know especially with the guys living in the house, there's a lot of conversations that you didn't see. Actually, the very first week of filming, when the first three guys lived in the house, it was Jeremy, Richard, and Jesse. It was actually Jesse's birthday, and we threw him a little surprise birthday party and decorated and I woke the guys up that morning and made them pancakes for Jesse's birthday. But it didn't make television, so nobody got to see it, but it was actually really special. TEAM CSINCSAK!! |

| Re: Jesse - Bachelorette 4 tawneej, I really appreciate your observations and I think you've validly outlined a lovely story of which we've only seen bits and pieces. I'll be looking for the snowbunny bikini photo and fondue mention! ![]() I just want to add another covert Jesse moment that I thought was cute: When Fred and Robert had to go down to the outhouse to read their 2-on-1 date card, Jesse had on floral swim shorts and a (definitely not-matching) striped jersey, his hair was everywhere and he barely said a word - leaving me to believe that he was completely zonked out and they woke him up for filming! He must have been trying to get some much-needed sleep while the guys were on their group date - and I would have done the same thing! How real can this guy be?! I just found it very endearing ... ![]() ETA: I agree with those that argue that he is too aware of the show and the cameras, but I think his experience as a professional snowboarder in televised, broadcast competitions, interviews and MTV actually affords him the confidence to be true to himself, in spite of the cameras. Despite the cameras and the show, he only kissed DeAnna when he felt ready and thought the moment was right for their romance, not the show.

I can pretty much guarantee we'd never have seen Jeremy on camera like that! I do like your observation of him being "real" there. I think you're absolutely right. Thanks for reading my tome in the above post. I know it was a bit much. I was just getting frustrated with all the people who fell in love with Jason themselves and so have completely neglected to look at Jesse as a viable contender. ![]()

And no worries - your post is nowhere near as long as some I've read (paragraphs really help!). Jesse is absolutely a viable contender - otherwise, he wouldn't be F2, right?! I think we agree it is ultimately DeAnna's choice and I can see points in favor and not in favor (I won't say against) of both Jesse and Jason. I would have great difficulty deciding between the two myself. (We all should be so lucky!)
