Come on, of course you may argue I'm a newbie here (this is actually my very first post...). But don't you read it as editing choice? One has to impersonate the vilain, the evil who will rob DeAnna's heart. Well, too bad, this season, it'll be you Jeremy! Nothing against romantic stories, on the contrary, but this is reality cut, re-cut, retold. Real material shaped, used as if it was fiction. DeAnna may very well choose her man, but they choose how they tell the story. And story telling implies having a plot. suspense, tension. drama. Plus it's easier to make the cute one look mean. You seem 'right' to tackle aspects of his personnality (although potentially totally fictional and induced by editing choices made by the production) and attack the one that appear to have everything for him. The front runner is the one to beat. The loosers are the one you'll pity. It's reality tv afterall. People in real life always envy the prettier, the more successful, the richer. And realityTV (well, tv in gen. if you ask me) is so good caricaturing some aspects and quietly erasing others. Does that make any sense? Despite Handsome Mister Jeremy being the best party according to me, time will tell if they are each other's best pick. I personnally doubt DeAnna will pick him and maybe it is better like that. | |

| Re: Jeremy - Bachelorette 4 I just dont get how Jeremy is the villain. I get that the guys are jealous of him but I dont get how the audience see him as the villain even with the editing. How have the producers edited him in a negative light? Her hasn't even said one bad thing about anyone there and seems totally into Deanna. I dont see acting at all on his part and honestly regardless of the reasons why people go on the show (it cant only be to find love, I mean come on these are attractive outgoing successful people, they can find it anywhere), I dont think it's out of the question that they still find themselves falling in love. Deanna is a beautiful woman and the guys aren't stupid so I have no reason to believe that they arent falling for her including Jeremy. Can you imagine how gorgeous their kids would be?

| Re: Jeremy - Bachelorette 4 let me just rephrase it: Jeremy is portayed as the one guy who has the most been criticized by others (him being calculating etc.). And thus associated with negative ideas. What tells us guys weren't complaining more about other guys in specific? The truth is thanks to the way episodes are edited, we have mostly heard interviews of guys (Ron for instance) criticizing him. More than others. Whether this was deserved or not. I certainly do not think that. I am not saying he IS the villain but he is portayed as such. and that does not mean that the audience sees him as a villain either. By letting us most of the time hear other guys complaining about how is competitive Jeremy is for instance, it makes the audience say 'no he's not' or 'yes, he is'. take part. get involved and thus keep entertained/interested. I don't think you need to have won oscars to know it.... I haven't said he was acting, (if you words are directed to me...), everyone knows their emotions are real (except for natural drama queens/kings). How can they not become sensitive being in such a situation? away from home, hoping the stay in the game, hoping to get loved, verbalizing intimate thoughts in front of the whole nation, filmed (often) for the first time, getting to experience awsome things for the first time (chopper, nice house, racing tracks etc.). Who would not be overwhelmed with emotions? But this type of shows is everything but natural when it comes to editing. This you can't deny. pleeeease.... One last thing, Jess and everyone: enjoy watching tonight! ![]() |

| Re: Jeremy - Bachelorette 4 I like Jeremy. I think he is earnest in his reasons for being on the show and that he truly developed feelings for DeAnna. In fact, I see him being much like DeAnna was on B11...there for the guy/girl and not to make friends. Nothing wrong with that in my book. ![]() |

The more I contemplate it, I think Jeremy's family status may work against him. Time will tell! Can't wait for next Monday, can you?! N

Glad you think Jer is not the best choice for Dee-you might say he would then remain on the market and that's one hot property many of us would want to invest in! Now where is my map of the Southern US?

Her famous line comes to mind "I'm not bad, I'm just drawn that way..." How often are shy people or introverts misinterpreted? I think that's what we have here with Jeremy. I think he's a sweetheart down deep. Well, not that deep!
