ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What was your favorite moment of the show?
DEANNA: My engagement!
JESSE: Probably the second I proposed and she looked at me and said yes and I knew that I was going to spend the rest of my life with this woman.

People always say big moments in life, like engagements, are often remembered as a blur. Any one thing that sticks out?
DEANNA: My favorite about that entire moment when he proposed to me is that nothing else around us mattered. Even though there were cameras everywhere, crew people, producers, nothing else mattered. It seriously felt like it was just the two of us.
JESSE: Something that stands out to me that's funny is at the very end of last night's show when she goes, ''I can't believe I am marrying the guy with the pink shoelaces!'' That cracks me up.

Now that the circus is over, what's on the agenda?
DEANNA: I think we're just focused on doing the normal stuff. We want to go to dinner, and we're dying just to go grocery shopping together. We just want to be in public together.

Did what you wanted out of this whole process change over time?
DEANNA: Oh, absolutely. I went into this process thinking that I had everything figured out and that I knew exactly what I wanted, and then somewhere along the way I guess I realized that I didn't know myself as well as I thought I did. I've always dated the same type of guy — this typical guy — and maybe it took all of those to lead me to the person that I was meant to be with, because Jesse isn't like any guy I've dated, but it's the best thing in the world and it's what I've always wanted in the long run. He puts me first, and he is that person that can make me smile every day, doing these crazy, romantic, nice things just to make me smile.

In another answer Deanna says that Jesse makes her a better person, but she explains it in such a way that says she's "better" because he's OK with things that aren't great about her. Hmmm, that's not really making you "better," Deanna.

On whether he would consider appearing on "The Bachelor":

It's just something I haven't even thought about. It's something, if offered, I would definitely consider. I have not been approached by anyone, though.

(Pappas was a jilted suitor on "The Bachelor" before she was asked to be the selector on "The Bachelorette.")

On where he is right now:

I've been back home for almost two months. When I got home, I got one day off, and I had to go straight back to work (he's an account exec). Everyone at home, all my friends and family, have been so kind, so generous.

On whether he has any regrets about appearing on "The Bachelorette":

I don't have any regrets. I can stand here today saying I wish she would have picked me because we got along so well. Seeing her with Jesse added closure for me. She didn't look at me like that. I deserve that look, and everybody deserves that.

On whether the contestants get any compensation:

Not a penny. We get to do some of the most amazing things in the world, though. It's not easy. I got picked up in a helicopter. I sat in Einstein's chair in the observatory, (went) diving with sharks. All these things you can't put a monetary price on.

On the number of crew members present during shoots:

I got to know some of the crew who I will be friends with my entire life. There are tons of people working on this show. People work so hard. Producers got there at 7 in the morning and didn't leave until 6 the next morning.

On what TV viewers may have missed:

The whole (marriage) proposal. The show made it look like I got down on my knee and she brought me right back up. I talked to her for a while down there. It was a lot longer of a process. I felt disrespected (by DeAnna). That is something I would never do to anybody. I wish they showed more of that moment.

On whether he and Pappas have had any contact since the show ended:

We've talked since the finale, and we plan on staying friends.

On his son's feelings about all this:

He met DeAnna only that one time. All he knew was she was Daddy's friend. Daddy has lots of friends, guys and girls, so he didn't know more than that.

I think she just meant that Ty was not the reason she didn't choose Jason when she said that.

I just watched an interview with Dee and TV Guide over at tvguide.com. I read that they dropped her Monday. I guess that was after the interview on Tuesday?

TV Guide dropped Dee from what I read on their site. Didn't make since to me though and I hope someone can help me understand what they meant/mean, when clearly there was a interview with her on Tuesday, July 8, 2008 or maybe I am just reading it wrong.

You know what - I thought I read the same thing, but when I read it over again or the details of it - it actually said that Deanna 'dropped by' the studio...

LOL That makes so much more sense!!! I was like, you dropped her on monday and did an interview with her on Tuesday! What ever for?!
