I don't know. Just throwing that out there for food for thought. I see the connection between her and Graham and I see the connection between her and Jason. They are both real IMO but very different. I guess only she will know in the end which one turned out to be the "real thing".
I think this is the "story" that we are getting from Fleiss, that some can see and that others can't. Graham was a "Brad" in that she was in what she thought was love with both of them. But, in rides Jason, and teaches her about "real love" and how it really should be.

Someone has already mentioned this, but I think it is a good point... Fleiss is giving us two stories... the transformation of Deanna as she learns what true love should really be like, and the love story between her and Jason.

I have to agree.

Let's get real for one sec, please. If I was in love with someone, like she was claiming to be with Graham (we all witnessed her say it), and it ended painfully, (the way that she and Graham did,) then watch out - I'm in rebound mode. I think any emotion shared between her and the F3s at that point were of comfort and healing for her as she internally grieved over the loss of Graham. You just don't pick yourself up, dust yourself off and move on instantly. And if you do, you haven't given yourself enough time to really heal and deal with the pain of it all. Heck, she still hasn't done a good job or dealing/resolving what Brad's rejection has done to her.

However, I will say, that if the FRC is a "let's wait and see how it goes" type of ceremony, then I can see that being more realistic then at the end of the show itself being engaged. Does that make sense?

I wish her and Jason all the luck if in fact, he is the F1, but the story being told just isn't plausible with the timeframe that's left. I think what she does is narrow it down to the only one of the remaining 3 guys that she knows she can see a future with, but at the time the show ends, it is not an engagement. Now, at the ATFR, maybe, but not by show's end.

Re: Bachelorette 4 Media thread

OO I just saw the little clip of Jesse and D horseback riding - 1st thing - right out of the gate - he jumps up on his horse and leaves poor D to manage hers by herself!!!!! Dumb-bunny Jesse needs to learn some macho manners LOL

As for the comment that Graham was "a Brad" was probably a little much, but I think she draws connections between them, not just because they didn't "fall for her" but also because of the mixed signals that were obvious with both of them, IMO. Brad did less of this during their season, but mixed signals were a big part of the problem in the finale and ATFR (e.g., I didn't fall for you, but I think of you every day. I'll miss you more than you'll ever know). With Graham it was similar confusion, in a different way, he'd pull her in close (at the basketball court), then push her away (on the bench, both times).

I do agree that she needs to let Brad, Graham and any other person who "let her down" go and move forward with a positive attitude, especially if she is in a new relationship now, post-show.

Do you think that they have showed us all these negatives because we are finally going to get our 2nd "real" ending. The whole shabang?!!

WOO. Now I can't wait for the Engagement Party. Is this the first season having this? Or did they have it in the previous seasons?

I'd be extremely pi$$ed if they included the Brit and the Twit - we "did our time" watching that season, it's over - leave sleeping dogs lie, I say

If it's only going to be an hour show, (minus commercials) so they'd better not waste one minute on that "couple"!!

Wonderful post Just Sayin, ICAM!

I think things were hot from the start with Graham and she was falling in-love with him but that is the only kind of love she has ever known.

Now I think things have been building with Jason and after Graham is out of the picture she will really be able to see all of it and realize what they have together is something amazing and will really fall in-love with. It will be a new kind of love for her, something she has never experienced before that just gets better and better over time.

Boy, I really think you hit the nail on the head. Just watching the whole HTD with Jason, you can see De's transformation so clearly. It is about her growth, too.

And I'm thinking Fleiss is loving bringing it up because it brings to the forefront how "they" transformed a heartbreak story into the woman finding the man of her dreams. That's the point for the show. I'm sure it will always be the first thing brought up in future shows.
Could very well be, but she brought up Brad soo much, I really expected that at some point Fleiss would bring Brad back on the show for whatever reason.

I agree that she talked about Brad quite a bit but I think it was mostly producer initiated. I wasn't sure if she was over him when the show started (and maybe she wasn't back then) but I'm convinced that she now is. The love of a good man can do that I think we all have those guys that we now look at and think "what did I ever see in him"
