Was it actually said in a happy setting after she falls in love with Jason? I HATE being misled by editing!!!

However, I will say that I think her saying that Graham was a Brad is totally unfair. Really, other than them not loving her, how are they truly similar? She needs to let that go.
I think she might have been inticed to say that, but I could be wrong.

That was from a 'committment' point of view me thinks

I see the similarity as they both appear to be afraid of commitment.

I just watched the clip and obviously it's the segment that usually begins the fantasy date episode. Fine, OK, but why go with such a grim tone? The editors must be really confused this season - is this show about romance or heartache? I'm a big fan of Jason, I think I see a romance there, but I'm even getting annoyed with the focus on the negatives.

As for the comment that Graham was "a Brad" was probably a little much, but I think she draws connections between them, not just because they didn't "fall for her" but also because of the mixed signals that were obvious with both of them, IMO. Brad did less of this during their season, but mixed signals were a big part of the problem in the finale and ATFR (e.g., I didn't fall for you, but I think of you every day. I'll miss you more than you'll ever know). With Graham it was similar confusion, in a different way, he'd pull her in close (at the basketball court), then push her away (on the bench, both times).

I do agree that she needs to let Brad, Graham and any other person who "let her down" go and move forward with a positive attitude, especially if she is in a new relationship now, post-show.

But they're not. It's just that neither one fell in love with Deanna. Now believe me, I love Deanna, and I have never criticized her. And, yes, she might have been pushed to say that....likely she was.....and yes, the fact is that their inability to commit to HER and reciprocate her feelings must have reminded her of old hurts. I get that. But the words "Graham was a Brad" seemed a little harsh and unfair.

I'm just trying to be objective and see everyone's point of view....including Graham's and Brad's.

Point taken. But now that Graham is gone, I would LOVE it if there were no more Brad references. Bring on Sleepless in Seattle!!

Re: Bachelorette 4 Media thread

I found the video interesting because there was a lot of emphasis on her saying that she thought she was falling in love with Graham instead of saying she fell in love but it appears that she did say it. She also said that she thought he'd be the f1 standing at the end. It's hard to see where that makes room for her real f1 to be first choice. I'm also wondering why in the world they'd edit the show the way they did if there's an actual engagement? I have no problem if DeAnna does end up happy in the end because I'm not sure she was the right one for Graham and vice versa but am wondering how it happens so soon after the things she says about Graham going home.

She is making a metaphorical statement based solely on their interactions with her through this process. I took it as a narrow statement based on the narrow circumstances. They did both say many of the very same things, and they were both unable to commit to her. I know that people are tired of hearing "Brad", but in terms of this show, I could understand the metaphor.

Brad and Graham did not want to commit to DeAnna for whatever reasons. That is their point of view. Her point of view is that they were alike in that both of them did not want to commit to her.

My point of view is so be it; move on and find somebody that does!!

I agree, concentrate on what you do have, not what you dont.

There is a cute commerical up on tv.msn of Jesse and DeAnna on their horseback riding date. I don't think I am allowed to post the link or I would.
