Good evening everyone! Well I wanted DANIELLE from Andy season and now I get Deanna, dont know if I will watch but congratulations to her fans. School will be over then I might just look a second job to pay for my debts and miss this one, but will tape anyway. Her personality turn me off and I dont see where she can do anything to change my opinion. Night all have to go to sleep for work.

I just saw DeAnna's segment on the Ellen show. It sounds like Ellen was the one who really backed DeAnna as the Bachelorette. Wow, that is a powerful person to have in your corner!

From what she said, these are the characteristics in men to look for as possible finalists in her show ~ tall, dark, handsome, treats her well, gets along well with her father, and southern men. What did I miss?

    Yes, the sleuthing starts early.
And if I claim to be a wise man, it surely means that I don't know ~ Kansas

So would you say Ellen has an agenda, like maybe a slap in the face to Brad.

I agree, from what Ellen said it seems like she really had a hand in getting DeAnna to be the next bachelorette. You could really tell that Ellen liked DeAnna from the first time she was on her show!!! Ellen is someone that I would definitely want on my side!!!

It is weird to know who the bachelorette is before we even know for sure who the bachelor is though, huh?

Quite possibly, lol!!! The look on Ellen's face after watching the clip of the FRC spoke volumes in my book!! That look was priceless!!

BINGO !!!! Although there was a small percentage of posters who thought that Brad acted wisely in giving no one the Final Rose since he couldn't say that he loved anyone, the majority of the posters on the boards that I visited were disappointed in the way that the season ended..
Although Fleiss himself is quirky and has some odd ideas which include the fact that he may not really care at all if anyone ends up together, according to his interview immediately after the FRC, the big guns at ABC want a couple. We know that the producers monitor boards for reactions
Certainly they are aware that there is an overwhelming desire for another Bachelorette.
After the last FRC and the way that it was ( and wasn't very well) accepted, I think that the producers were very uneasy concerning the Bachelor's chances at attracting future audiences. Why not placate the fans with the advanced notice that the new Bachelorette has already been chosen while at the same time stirring up notice that there is another Bachelor show that will directly precede it.

Further, in typical Fleissian mode of operation, why not make the Bachelorette the rejected lady of the last ( and very controversial ) Bachelor - especially since it was her name that was coming up on the boards and then on the Ellen Show? They must have thought they had a real scoop, I think. : shrug:

Also, why would they annouce the Bachelorette now prior to the new Bachelor?

(1)The Bachelorette is more popular, and let's face it. The franchise is marred right now. Andy had some success, but Travis, PLo and Brad caused people to think it wasn't even worth watching. I read an internet article on Trista, Ryan, and the Baby where people wrote in with comments. Several comments were typically like, " Good for her. After that last show, I won't be watching it anymore." These weren't even die hard fans like us. They were just people who like to watch tv, read the internet and write comments.

    (2) Ostensibly, the best way to introduce the Bachelorette would be at the After the Rose Show for this upcoming Bachelor. However......
(The new Bach(ette) has been introduced in this manner several times in the past.) It would work if they could be sure that there would be an AfTR.

I still think it is strange that they are announcing the Bachelorette when The Bachelor hasn't been announced. But I suspect you are all right when you say they are doing it to attract men who might be interested in her. And also it again creates a buzz about the show until they can make the other announcement that was left void after the last show.

No matter how each of us feels about the choice, I am certian that the show will be entertaining, dramatic, and fast paced. Hopefully they will add a few new elements/dates to keep us on our toes. I am sure it wil be a fun watch.

And since so many FORTers know her, you ought to have an inside scoop on who she might choose and how she will go about it! Knowledge is good It should be fun
"Know that you are not the master of your days, but the pioneer of their purpose"
"My policy: no stone throwing regardless of housing situation." moanamarie
"well, I am on the right side of the grass." brad womack
"Create your future. You are not a victim of the world but the hero of your own life"

But I will watch the show anyway. I've watched every show since the beginning and don't see any reason to stop watching. As Ms Froggy pointed out, it's cheesy and no one is really there to find a "relationship". Trista was a fluke. I doubt DeAnna will change her colors. I saw her as mean spirited and stirring up trouble. At least she won't have other girls to compete with so will probably appear as the sweet girl next door.

Anyway, I'm ready for another bachelor so get the ball rolling ABC.

AMAZING what a basket of peaches can do. They become canned peaches, mailed to producers, who in turn are amazed by the support. So swayed, they choose Deanna as the next bacherorette. What a JOURNEY!

I just hope they don't bring in a Brad look alike. Hummm that might be a good idea. Maybe she won't forget very easily what she was spared from.
