This may be stretch, but let me run with it.... I'm skipping the V/J part and re-watching the Roberto & Chris dates.

Chris & Roberto remind me of Matthew & Ian, from Meredith's season. America was convinced Matthew was F1, because he was so sincere and got all the good edits. But if you followed Ian & Meredith's dates closely, you could see how into him she really was. Her (edited) words said Matthew, but her BL said Ian. At first, I thought Chris was the Ian (started off slow, just being himself) and Roberto was the Matthew (too good to be true). But now I see it as the opposite. Roberto isn't getting very good edits (too short, not much conversation or personal info), and Chris is getting a lot of air time. When she's with Roberto, Ali initiates a lot of the kissing, and throws both arms around him. With Chris, she only initiated the kissing as a thank you for the bracelet, and she has 1 arm up against his chest, instead of around him. With Ali/Roberto, I see chemistry; with Ali/Chris, I see friendship & admiration.

Excellent post! I have definitely been getting an Ian vibe from Roberto. They both are confident and sexy men who know how to treat women, at least on TB. And Fleiss monkeys have also been hacking their time together to keep it a mystery.

One other thing I have noticed about Ali on her dates with Roberto, she has at least 2 or 3 times looked directly at the camera and probably was really lookiing at the nearby producer. To me this means she's unconciously transfering their relationship to the real world. I also believe Meredith did this a couple of times with Ian.

He did try to explain what kind of person he was before that got cut out. He tries to live his life as simple as possible, have fun, and is very appreciative of "moments". He made that clear to her that he felt lucky and appreciative of his moments with her.

I had forgotten about those comments, so I'll give you that. But I still do not see it as Ali no longer being giggly and digging deeper. Most of what little conversation we've seen them have is prompted by Roberto, not her.

Sometimes I think the insecurity or should I say the degree of insecurity is an act. I also think it can be a shield used so people don't get mad at her for not picking someone. If she comes across pathetic she gets more sympathy. She was very outspoken and really said what she felt on Jake's season even right to him. She also did a little scripting of her own so she's not 100% innocent. Not saying she's a terrible person but I don't know if we are seeing Ali in her authentic and true state at all times.

I don't think so. The way she talks and looks at the men is totally submissive. She basically thinks anyone she likes is too good for her and won't like her if she's not the Bette. She talks in a baby voice, curls her body into herself, and just pretty much acts like a hurt birdie all the time. No self-respecting woman with a healthy sense of self-esteem would ever act like that IMO. Especially on a constant basis with multiple men.

Especially up in the tree with Frank, her slurring of the word monkey had fellow viewers and I rolling on the floor. Girlfriend was sh-wasted most of this episode.

She was completely and utterly hammered on the Ty/Frank date. I honestly think she would have dumped Ty last week if not for the numbers.

With the little we saw, I thought he was trying to dig deeper with her so CH is crazy. I thought he was much more open about himself. Before he got cut off, he told her that he did not want to be perceived as a mystery man. He wanted her to ask his family questions about him/his life/character but I felt like she was pushing him away in a sense.

ITA, VAgirl. I've never particularly liked either Jake or Vienna as they both have always come across as superficial fame hos, IMO, but I was very surprised at how Vienna was decidedly more authentic in that interview.

And the main reveal was how obnoxious Jake was and how he added copious supporting evidence to other moments where he has shown himself to be a control freak who has no respect for women - including the very points Vienna was trying to make about him.

And, under those circumstances, I would have been interrupting him, too, since he apparently just does not get it. Totally disgusting is right. :nono

Indeed. Normally, interrupting is something that gets under my skin too. But when you feel someone you know well is so blatantly lying about something, sometimes the upset side of your brain jumps in and takes over, because it's so absurd.

The thing about throwing the GPS to "prove a point" to her made him sound like a nutcase. He likely thought this interview would make him look like the wounded party and her the guilty party, but that backfired, IMO. I'm reading various websites now, and I'd say people are siding 10-1 with Vienna. She may exhibit questionable behavior, she may be immature, and she may be a publicity seeker. But that still doesn't give him the right to talk to her like he did tonight. If she was so awful, he could have dumped her long ago. But he didn't, because it was advantageous to him up to that point to stay with her. He's a joke.
