Names have been buggin' me.. finally (after going through some of the thoughts below, and many more) have a few suggestions for your consideration.

Ali shortens to Al... Roberto shortens to Berto (yes, this does happen IRL), et voila! AlBerto!

Chris L and Ali was tougher. Could just be Lali - no, too fem. Chrisali - doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. So, thanks MiniDiva, for the idea of going with their full names to see what happens...

Christopher Alexandra... Chrisalex - negativo, sounds like acne cream. Altopher - sounds like the name of an astronomer, equals no. Christal - nah, too much like Unicorn Love. [note: there are too many stoopid options to spend a lot of time on them - if you start playing with this, you'll find them all]... so my final suggestion is Chrisxandra.... it would be Chrisandra, but then Ali would be totally hidden, which might not be bad at all.
