I don't remember that, Love_Me, but she made a big deal out of it when she first accepted the "role." We all thought that was a pretty smart thing to do.

Every time MF grins, somewhere in the world a unicorn dies.
I don't think we're in Kansas anymore, Toto.
I think I remember her mentioning that she worked it out so she could call her parents once a week. Being able to stay in contact with them was a pretty big deal to her.Originally Posted by I'msotired;3953268;
Didn't CL mention something about that last week in Iceland in a vo when he was walking Ali to the couch for their 1:1 time before the RC? He said something about his last relationship ended around the time his Mom passed and it was a difficult time in his life. It was something like that. Well that's been about 18 months ago now.Originally Posted by ChelsieFan;3953223;
I think he did say that. I think when he came home the focus was really on being with family and caring for his mother. My impression was that he hadn't been out in the field since his mom died and was now ready to love again. The whole thing is pretty heartbreaking.Originally Posted by n4692u;3953286;

He sounds like an outstanding gentlemen.
"Treat others the way you want to be treated."
He really does. I'm so sa his mom died but I truly believe she died knowing she was so loved and adored and that's such a nice gift to give someone. He will make the right girl very happy one day.Originally Posted by Love_Me;3953293;
That's exactly the story they will run with when he is the next Bachelor. The man who put his life and career as a teacher on hold to put his family first is now ready to find love.![]()
Hi CashFoSho, I asked you a question in the busy Spoiler thread regarding how do you know so much about the Bachelor or Bachelorette's stipend. I thought I'd bring it over here instead. Just curiousOriginally Posted by CashFoSho;3953280;
I have to say CL shouldn't be the next Bachelor because of how genuine and normal he is and the show doesn't always cast genuine and normal contestants but if he's going to be as well-compensated Jake (like you have indicated CashFoSho) then, I would say that'll be really hard for him to pass up.

Cape’s Chris Lambton on ‘The Bachelorette’ — maybe the good guy will finish first

The latest installment of the reality dating series “The Bachelorette” premiers in just over a week on ABC. When it airs on Monday, May 24, Cape Cod will have representation with Chris Lambton of Dennis.
The contestants on the show who will vie for the affections of a beautiful blonde named Ali, were a closely guarded secret until a week or so ago. Or so people thought. It was pretty common knowledge around Dennis that Chris was among the 25 chosen from a field of thousands to participate in the reality show. I understand the family has been sworn to secrecy and they never let out a word, try as I met to get Chris’ dad, Ed, to tell us what he knew. He was like that infamous German officer in Hogan’s Heroes TV fame “who knew nothing.” Well, it is official now as the ABC network has put brief bios and pictures of the 25 men on its website.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing the Lambton family for more than 20 years. In fact, Ed was the one who gave me a tip that there might be a reporting job at a small weekly on Cape. He had seen the ad seeking reporters. I was fresh out of college at the time, applied and got the job. That’s the kind of people they are — always thinking of others and genuinely great people. I don’t know Chris well but have followed what he has been up to in life through his mom and dad. Chris’ mom, Marge, was a close friend to my sister until Marge’s death in late 2008. Marge fought a valiant effort with her disease for a number of years but never lost her sense of caring for others, or her true goodness. Chris gave up a promising teaching career in New York City several years ago to come home and help care for his mom.
The show is not something I’ve ever really paid much attention to, but have read and seen lots about the failed relationships and all the craziness about it in the tabloid media. I will tune in to the premier to see how Chris fares. Maybe, just maybe, the good guy will finish first.
Thanks for posting that article, latergator. It's so refreshing to read only good stories about a contestant and his whole family. The Lambtons certainly are well thought of in their community. Chris is a pleasure to get to "know".
This isn’t the Sound of freaking Music we’re watching.......sdl
