We've not had a true solo FIR become the F1. We've had Jesse during Deanna's season who was 1 of 3 first impression winners. He got the second of the FIR given at the advice of Jenni who was advising Deanna at the 1st RC.
I am playing catch up here. Roberto and Chris both seems like great guys, and what will be will be.
Everyone keeps talking about Chris as the next Bachelor, why not Roberto? Perfect fit! They need to move this show into this century already and have more diversity. Having a latino/hispanic bachelor vs. Caucasian guy yet again would mix it up! That what life is all about. We are a melting pot, it would be fun to see people of all ethnic backgrounds on this show. It seems like they stopped trying to add the few token minorities a few seasons ago. This is not an anti-Chris post, just an observation.
They both seem like genuine guys, both are very nice looking, and both would be fun to watch when they lather, rinse, repeat this show yet again! (and of course i will still watch it!)
Deanna had the death of her mother play a large role in her edit and she was considered to be F1. When has physical edit been F1? Not often either. So we have even more evidence that there is no F1.Ok, now I'm really confused. How is it that Chris' death story could be the F1 storyline, when all of the other bachelor/ette with death stories didn't make it pass F3???? We know that in this case, Frank left so that meant that the F3 person was able to become the F2 person. IOW, no one with death story has ever made it to F1. Also, each of the other bachelor/ettes captured a large fan base, as well. So what am I missing here with Chris???
My comments regarding Chris's edit were in reference to a post stating that Chris was leading in public polls. It had nothing to do with who Fliess or Ali have chosen as the F1. Of course, Chris is a multi faceted person, but I do believe that his "America's Sweetheart" standing was swayed by his story line and sympathy edit. I personally think that both men are incredible individuals, but it's hard to discount the role that Chris's sympathy edit plays as far as public polling is concerned. This is not meant to disrespect Chris in any way or discount the fact that he seems to be an incredible individual , it was simply intended to disclose natural biases which may contribute to swaying public opinion away from Roberto.
You've got to be kidding me, right? LOL There's no comparison, imo. Did you see the front of Ali's dress, and how low the cut dip was???? She made sure that Roberto had easy access, that's for sure. lol Now that's a FD.there's no denying Ali looked smooking HOT in that dress during her FD dinner with Roberto
It seems the way the show works, her runner up is let go at F3 so that the last week with MTP is not so stressful. We all remember Jillian's goodbye scene with Reid. She clearly had feelings for him, and few will argue that she liked Kip better. Kip was just a great guy, that was comfortable with the physical interaction that is required for the FS and LCD.
This season I do think Frank was her #1, yes she had questions about him, but she has even said that he was the type of guy she went for. Chris was her runner-up and Roberto is in Kip's place. What that means is, if all three had stayed, Chris would have been let go last week and we would have had a repeat of last season. I do think Frank wanted out sooner, but TPTB forced him to stick around because they needed him for the show. He obviously had feelings for Ali, but to his credit (unlike Ed), he took himself out of the show when he realized his feelings for Nicole were stronger. None of the guys or Ali has bad mouthed Frank; everyone says he was a great guy.
What that means for this week is that they guy she would not have around to confuse her, Chris, is still there. She is not ready to accept a proposal from either one, and so instead of having Chris propose and turn him down at the RC, she lets him go or he bows out beforehand (the crying sc with her hugging him - Doesn't it look very similar to Jillian and Reid?) IMO, we haven't seen any shots of the FRC, because Roberto is the only one that shows up. RS is right again, she chooses no one at the FRC and she is single.
I don't really know how all of it will play out, but in my imagination, I can see her letting Chris go at the end of his LCD because she doesn't want to hurt him any more by putting him through a RC. Waking up the next morning and we are led to believe that she is going to accept Roberto's proposal, but she doesn't. After Roberto leaves, she takes the Dennis bracelet and goes to find Chris. What happens from there - who knows???
MF has said that he is going to use the spoilers to his advantage. Surely by now he has some idea of where the leaks are coming from and he could film the end with just those that he trusted.
Ali and Chris are happy (and I hope together), and I can't wait to watch and see how this all plays out. Maybe it will be a phenomenal ending, or maybe we have been lied to again, and if so, surely next season I will have the willpower to not get involved.
