When all that stuff blew up about Jason swapping out Melissa and Mollie in the supposed to be clandestine ATFR, we could tell that they were making small hasty edit changes. However, those in the know say it is not an easy thing to start making edit changes, and it has been explained why.
My guess is that IF there are to be edit changes, they will be made down the road in future episodes when they have a lot more time to make those changes.
What we may see, however, is the edit changes being made in the media.

I agree. I have a friend who edits a long-running TV drama. He is absolutely beat after completing an episode. They aren't going to change stuff for FoRT or RS or any other blogger. I suspect you're right, though, about the "talking points." It'll be interesting to see.

I agree with this, but I have been thinking about this all weekend, and I think it was all too slick. First the leak of RS, then everything that followed. The Media, etc. I think they wanted to make sure they got the CL date. so everyone would fall in love with him. But they knew they had to leak the ending, so everyone who was spoiled, etc. would be over what ever emotion they were feeling, before we really got to the FRC.
I think they changed the edit and had to account for it in the Media, so Ali would save face and CL would be set up for bachlor. Of course this is only my opinion.
As far as re editing everything. I worked for "Studio City" which is a editing house in LA. I have seen them work 24/7 reediting something a client didn't like and it needed to air the next day. BUT the cost was out of site. I know ABC has inhouse editors, so that is a different strory.

    Re: Editing Analysis

Maybe someone with experience in the editing field can answer this, or maybe Bloomers you might know.

Is it possible, that if the lead has to choose their top 4 the first night, they edit each limo exit different positions, for eg. first one out, is the wow edit, 2nd one out is trouble edit, 3rd one out is the crazy edit, 11th one is possible F1/F2 reject.

What was the real order and tv order for Vienna? I know you documented that, but I forget.

    Re: Editing Analysis

Bloomers, I wanted to tell y'all that this year, the numbers of the photos on medianet did not correspond to the real order of the limo exits. I started looking at the real exits of the limos & they were mixed with photos from the cocktail party. I knew that wasn't correct so had to go a different route figuring out the real limo exits & a couple of the guys (Frank & Kyle) didn't even have a photo of them meeting Ali. TPTB had a photo of Frank on top of the limo, but nothing of Kyle & Ali. I had to do a little more research to figure out where Kyle exited.

I have it charted where all of the F 1-4s for the entire 20 seasons are edited as shown leaving the limos. (These are the kinds of things that I call "editing clues" for lack of a better term).
Just as a hunch I went back and looked up Brad's F2, and sure enough, there was DeAnna shown exiting at #11. Now why would they move Roberto from actual #15 to edited #11?
Personally? I think it is almost like a little joke with them among themselves. I don't think they ever thought there would be a Bloomers who would analytically look at all of this stuff and hit at what they are doing. It has some meaning and reflection, but it doesn't impact anything.

What I like to do ( since I can't change what they do and certainly can't help them make wise choices ) is to try to stay emotionally unbiased as far as possible and start looking for those "editing clues". This is my form of sleuthing.

BTW, whoever said that the editing (per se) would lie to you is dead right. We are being lead to believe that Ali is going to learn to trust and will at the end fall in love with her F1.

    Many ha-ha......

The screencaps will lie to you as well. How? They are a moment in time, and they may or may not tell the story. The very best example I can give you is the screencap of Ali kissing Chris's back!
Everyone thought that was so intimate that it could only be from the Fantasy Date or LCD, and it indicated how emotionally involved with him she was.
In reality, it was just a scene from a video shoot, she had not even had a 1-1 date with him, and he is going to be F2.

While I am at it, please let me say this as one of US...This is the 20th season. That was just about the only way that I could see Fleiss in any way letting the fan favorite win, and even then I was highly skeptical.
I said from the beginning when everyone fell in love with Chris and even when the spoilers came out that he was F1, I was very leery of the fan favorite winning. This is Fleiss we are talking about. He doesn't care about who the fans like. He doesn't even care about a love story.
He cares about the drama and the ratings. He has said in interviews (paraphrasing) that trash is necessary for reality tv.

If the fans fall heavily for a contestant, he won't win. If I had to bet ( and I am not a better), I would bet against the fan favorite winning.

I am sorry for being such a Debbie downer, but if you are going to sleuth, it is better to do it without the blinders. The shock hurts less.
ITA with what you are saying - but -- I keep saying to myself - wouldn't you think MF and the other producers would figure out a way by now to keep the results a secret ? Just seems pathetic (although fun) that we sleuthers find out the ending and I am very very grateful to Cash for pushing RS's hand - but nonetheless - MF should be able to surprise us, imo.

I know I had a whale of a time trying to get a list going and was so delighted when your list came out. You did a great job. If I failed to thank you then, many thanks now!

Also, they want to see what type of girls apply.

They will talk to the guys, count the girls, and popularity of the men, and if both want it, Fleiss will go with the best for ratings.
By the pics it looks like Chris may be winning, hence so many pics of Rob to stimulate the interest.
I don't think it matters what type of girls apply. They only need five or six actual potential matches, and the rest are just for drama and fodder.

I do think Chris is ahead right now, for a number of reasons. I do think he would be more entertaining. Rob is a great guy, but he is so poised and circumspect; and given his line of business, he would have to be more careful about how he comes across than Chris would. It would nice to have a funny, goofy bachelor....kind of like Charlie. I also think the older ones have a greater success rate at actually finding someone.

Aaaw, no problem. It made me feel like I'd earned my keep around here a little. I haven't been able to find a lot of things, so I'm extra excited when I'm able to help. I had to bring it forward for you because I didn't know what to think about the actual order vs edited order.

It's certainly gotten interesting here in the last several days.

No, I don't think so. The first three cars seem to be stacked with the most visually attractive/ interesting people, and often they come out first or the last in that car.
Notice that Frank pops up throught the roof in #5 spot where we can't miss him, but Ali is attracted to Frank. We are not supposed to see Frank as weird but as someone very attractive to Ali.

At #11, Roberto is the first one out of car #3, so we particularly notice him as she is supposed to as well.

The odd ones are mixed in here and there but now particularly at the end, i.e., Jason who does the backflip off the car.

BTW, I can not give a reason for this, but ChrisL is deliberately moved from #6 (first in car #2) to Ali's actual and edited #3. I personally thought that might point to him.
