Ali said that her dad was there during her HTD. She didn't know why they edited him out. I guess I always assumed that he would be there this season for the MTP. It is good to have some confirmation on that, though.

Jake had made a comment in one of his blogs. That after they met with Ali's mom, then went and met her dad for a few minutes.

Yes! I couldn't have said it better myself! The guy obviously made his choice and it wasn't to be with his girlfriend back home. Sounds like he dumped her for the show! What girl in her right mind would actually let her boyfriend go on the show, don't buy it for a sec!

An opportunistic girlfriend would. Nothing is black and white in the world of The bachelor/ette. I liken this to the Clinton situation – there are not a lot of Tammy Whynette ‘stand by your man’ women out there, but Hillary was one, because she had her own goals and agenda. We have no idea who this is and what the situation or circumstances are, but if this is a couple who are both looking for exposure is he got on this show and she was unsuccessful at getting on a bachelor season (for instance) this could be the brass ring for both of them.

I live in a town next to Williamstown and this is only from what I have heard through the grapevine- Jake spoke to Ali's Dad (Alex) on the phone during the HTD. He lives in Alabama. I also hear that her parents do get along and I think her Dad is remarried to a woman named Lily. Her two sisters live in or near Williamstown and her brother lives in Boston. If I knew exactly which day they were leaving for MTP I would go hang out at the airport to see where they are going. I haven't been able to find out the exact day but I have heard it is between today and Sunday. Like I said this is all here-say so we can only take it for what it's worth.
