So, so true. Kip is seriously calling it a day and going out surfing. He's too good for all this ridiculous drama that is about to come. No worries, I'm sure once Fleiss gets his claws into him when/if he's the next Bach, things will be even more dramatic than they are for Jilly. Isn't that what Fleiss' goal is: up the ante every season? Oh man.

And I am definitely still going to be holding up for that fantasy, perfect ending. Truth be told, if Ed was kind and respectable and could actually convince me that he's in love with Jilly and is ready to give her what she needs, then I'd be fine with him winning. But no matter how much I try, I just do not think he's being honest and sincere with her. I'm sorry! I'm trying, really!

Good for him! Smartest place to be from the sounds of whats about to go down!

I can't believe I finally did this...but I allowed my husband to enter in my world. I really wanted him to decipher the goodbye scene with Jillian and Reid. "Good luck", "call me", etc.... He put on the surround sound and he found the right speaker to listen to....and without a doubt he said "good luck".. Noooooooooooooo!!!! I don't know whyI hadn't thought of that. I also heard it with my own ears too with the super hi-fi sound...He also heard Jillian say ILY to Reid in head hugging scene. That one I didn't even tell him about and he heard it right away. Hmmmm....

But before I did that I made him watch the final 3's dates much to my dismay....but i had to have a neutral party -- one that has never watched a single episode EVER!!!!

Kip -- really no comment. Reid - very nervous - felt it was because of cameras, little immature, not able to express himself very well. Ed -no eye contact, swarmy, smelling armpit, erectile dysfunction (can't use the words he described ), and said Ed reminded him of Vince Vaughn's character in Wedding Crashes - even looked liked him too.

Yes I have always been on the Reid train, but hubby was never allowed to watch any episodes with me - due to his inappropriate and smart-aleck comments. So indeed Ed is getting a very bad edit and i would be so so surprised if he is indeed last man standing . Hubby couldn't believe that she didn't send Ed home that night. The plot thickens...

I think that's fascinating - both his reaction and the fact you got him to do it. Thanks for sharing his take on it. (And tell him I agree!)

And the eversogenerous Kiptyn pretends for his neurotic friend that he's not sleeping with the girl, and the other guy pretends to have E.D. That way, it's all good.

I think I would have gone with "eversogenerous" for Ed and "the other guy" for Kiptyn, myself. Any guy who pretends to have E.D. on national television and is not the star of a Viagra commercial should at least get a good adjective.

Fine, then maybe flawed, but not deeply? My point was that they are really over-emphasizing Reid's "flaws" in the edit. I see this now after having re-watched his HTD and hearing the comments from his family, in addition to the labels we've seen Reid give himself: "neurotic," "indecisive," "cynical," etc. I simply don't see them doing this nearly as much with the other men.

Add: a hypochondriac, an over analyzer (or maybe analyze perfect), and there was another one i wanted to add but i forget.

But this is part of Reid's personality: he's likes to make people laugh and he does this by self-denigrating. Makes a joke about his abnormalities. Jesse even said in his train talk about Reid: that Reid knows he's annoying. He probably made a joke about it.

Now compare this with Ed: who also seems to make jokes to make people laugh but they are more about how awesome he is (who wouldn't want to have another me?), and they seem to make him laugh more than anyone else. And Kip who is great but just sort of floats along.

So I think this one actually has more to do with their personalities then the edit.

I understand why some see indecisive and neurotic, seeing as those were words Reid used to describe himself---although I maintain that those descriptors were used as exaggerations of what are more like tendencies than serious problems. Deeply flawed? I don't see deeply flawed. When I hear that term I think of someone who has serious issues that can't be overcome and are damaging to the person and others. I don't see those characteristics in Reid, even in his edited form. JMO.

I agree deeply flawed is someone who abuses his family members, someone who leads a double life, sort of Dr. Jekyll/Mrl Hyde. Flawed is someone who struggles with every day issues like the rest of us. Big difference! JMO!

I'd say Reid is a regular guy who is continuing to figure out a lot about himself and where he is heading, just like a lot of people his age. With him, Jillian knows what she sees is who he is.

I think a lot of us ended up with someone who, originally, wasn't "on our list." And that relationship may have had some twists and turns before we were willing to accept that change of mind/heart. It's not that easy to question what it means about us if we choose the unlikely one, if we are suddenly faced with going off-message from a life-long idea about ourselves. To make it easy, instead of getting rid of the list, we just get rid of the guy.

And somewhere in the process of losing the guy, we realize getting rid of the list was a much, much better idea.

Not that I know anything about that process, of course.

I cannot agree more. My hubby was never on my list...but now he's #1 (obviously) and it took me a while to figure that out. Like Jill, I was attracted to men who either didn't like me as much as I liked them or they were just plain'ol bad boys. Now I like good boys.

I really hope that Jill picks the guy who is really going to appreciate her...
