Editing and Storyline Episode 2 **Spoilers**

Even though we can't locate a 1-1 date, if Reid is the F1, we have to have a rising storyline. That means we will see some kind of even a little interaction with him in every episode.
For example, in Travis's season Sara Stone was the F1. She did not have a 1-1 date until the last episode before the HTs, but it was as if Sara was narrating the story. She was always around on the edge of the group, and they showed her giving lots of PIs ( which also led people to call her gossipy). These are editing issues, but you can't have an F1 that just completely shows up out of nowhere at the HTs. The camera will go to his face, and I suspect we will get to see at the very least some 1-1 talk time before the rose ceremonies.

Did Sarah Stone also narrate on the first episode in PI's? I remember Melissa did even though she didn't get 1 on 1 time the first night. Reid wasn't even shown talking in a PI on the first episode. I think since the FRC was filmed yesturday, the editors are editing the show for tonight and we'll really see which way they decide to edit since the FRC is over.

But Sarah Stone was a negotiated ending. I am not discounting the rising story line however. It is too early to determne what it might be.

that season doesn't count...lol..but sadly to say I think that season is one of the producers started their "story boards" and starting the picking of who would be the F6..F5..etc because Travis wasn't really interested in anyone and it came out after the show had finished that he made a "deal' with the hometown girl..they came from the same hometown and in fact realized after the fact that they only lived a few blocks from one another....but he made the decision to choose her since they had become friends..I think its the only season where there were NO interviews done after the fact and it was just like they "vanished" into thin air...and of course you know thats a nightmare for Fleiss..he wants a story to sell..and the publicity...

I think tonight will really tell the story. Even though Reid doesn't get a date, it'll be interesting to see if he is in alot of PI's narrating what is happening throughout the show and what he thinks. Since the FRC was yesturday, they'll be able to edit it the way they want for the F1/F2/F3 today for the show tonight I would think.

This is what I really find interesting, they knew Jillian would see the first episode before she would pick her final man. We believe that Reid and Kip are F2. They showed basically nothing of Reid. I find it interesting that they would choose not to show him really at all, and they did show quite a bit of Kip considering there were 29 other guys there.

Chris Harrison said in one of his tweets dated May 23rd. that he was going to watch episode 2 which was prior to the FRC. TPTB would have to get the episode edited and to the censors sometime last week, I don't know how long the process takes, so the editing was done prior to knowing who the F1 was or if there is an F1. If Reid is F1 I don't think the edit will show until episode 3. JMO

Jillian wouldn't have access to a television to view the show - outside influences are completely cut off until filming ends.

Comments:

1. knowing the manipulation on Travis's show, using Sara while still a relevant example, was probably not a good one.

Here's another one: Jen Sheft in Andrew's season was shown as being one of the winners of the interview that his friends gave the contestants to see who was the most compatible with Andrew; however, they only mentioned Jen while Kirsten got the single date, extra time alone with him and because she was so controversial hogged the camera. He was physically and sexually attracted to Kirsten while he was emotionally attracted to Jen. We only saw Andrew and Jen having the kind of talks similar to before the RC, but we did see something small in nearly every episode when we looked back in retrospect. It was not that she came completely out of nowhere in the last eppie before HTs for a single date and then went on to win the whole thing. That is what is meant by rising action in the storyline.

2. The producers don't care what Jillian thinks of the way the show is edited. We have heard after the fact from some of the Bach/ettes that they were sick at heart at the way the F2 was edited when they watched each eppie, but that never prompted the producers to revise the upcoming eppies in any manner.

3. We have heard that the producers are constantly questioning them about how they feel about the contestants. If Jillian felt more strongly towards one than the other, the producers knew that and acted accordingly.

How many times have we noted that the F1 got the better accomodations on the FDs? That has to be because the Bach/ette has indicated in advance to the producer who he/she thinks is likely to be the F1, and they put that person in the best accomodations. That is one reason why I never believe all of that hullabalu about having a hard time making a decision the night before.
They simply know by that time and have known for a while.

Althought with Andrew, I think it was Kirstin right up until meet the family - they didn't like her at all - Andrew seemed heartbroken about that.
