Ed's doubt: he's workaholic. His return, no matter how scripted we see it is, at least provides some sort of answer that he values Jillian more than his job. Kip: he has so many doubts, I don't even know where to start!! However, I do feel he answered why he's never been heartbroken before (not because he's unable to love, but he tends to be the pursued), he's opening up more in the last few episodes, and his mom has said their family if far from perfection. Reid: I don't need to list his "doubts", but I feel that he has not really given her answers when being questioned, instead he usually makes jokes. It seems that his doubts are emerging in the last couple of episodes, but it also could be his story is slowly unfolding. I really hope we'll see some serious conversations and interactions on Monday, and not focusing on the WES drama!

| Re: Bachelorette 5**** Spoilers, episode 8 with screencaps I'm not sure why there is still so much debate around the whole Ed leaving/coming back. Scripted or not, what man, in his right mind, would jeopardize his job in any way for a woman on a reality dating show? He and the other men have only known her a very short time, this isn't "real" life, it's entertainment. Same with the gf issue with Ed and Wes. Are people expected to be celibate for months before signing up for this? That is totally unrealistic. And keeping it a secret? More hogwash, they are on national TV for heaven's sake...not a good place to actually hide something. This is all part of the storyboard imo and I'm as entertained by the general reaction to it as I am by the show itself. |

| Re: Bachelorette 5**** Spoilers, episode 8 with screencaps Of course they (TPTB) think this has been awesome. The question that is asked every episode "Who will win the Bachelorette's heart?" or however it is really worded should be changed to "Who has the producers decided to throw under the bus this time?". |

If his departure was scripted, then all Ed did was his reality tv job. If his departure was genuine then Ed chose his work or personal circumstances over his 1:10 chance at having a romantic relationship with Jill. If this scenario was real, than Ed made a logical choice IMO- albeit one that impacted both. If his return was scripted, then Ed has honored his reality tv job/contract. If his return was genuine, then Ed is taking a chance that TB would allow it and Jill would agree to it. He is taking a risk that he still has a chance, given he has lost some time. If this is all scripted, the question is - scripted to create drama and hurt Jill? Scripted because TPTB felt the relationship might be too strong and a give away to the F1. Scripted because they needed a back-up bad boy? Scripted to play up on the workaholic theme (Jill and Ed are both self-proclaimed workaholics I beleive.) Scripted to create a real love story - (promise me the next girl you fall for you wont let work get in your way? Jill -I have fallen for you and work willnot get in my way) Anyway - this has all made for very interesting conversation and a bit of intrigue. The fact is we know so little of what really goes on, its hard to accurately analyse on who has a better sense of humour and who has a better connection, and who is the most compatible, and whose family may be the best fit etc etc. It is fun to comment on what we do see - limited as it may be - and extrapolate from there - how accurate we are - time will tell!

| Re: Bachelorette 5**** Spoilers, episode 8 with screencaps Do we have a double standard here. If just dating, then the woman comes first, yet if my husband did not put his families best interest at heart first we would not still be married 42 years later. He has always made keeping a roof over our head and food on the table and bills paid as rule 1. Strong love is there! however that wonderful love does not pay the bills, it is his strong love that takes him to that job to keep us safe and secure. The whole Ed leaving has been beaten into the ground. Being chased is part of the love game to many folks. Jill should see that he loves her enough to chase around to world to be with her. She has all ready let one guy go because he did not have a job and the break dancer was not going to provid much to their future. Ed will be able to take her to adventurious places, show her a good life as will Kip and Reid. She did take that all into mind when giving roses. |
