The other thing is that we can't really say what we would do in this situation with cameras in our faces and having someone talk about something that's painful to us. If Jillian felt Ed wasn't paying attention to her and/or being disrespectful she wouldn't have kept him.

He just came back so we don't know if she kept him yet.

Exactly.Thank you.I am not saying he will bail again, but the fact that he has done it already makes me concerned for her.

oh! boy I hope not... as to Ed coming back, scripted or not, it will give Jillian a chance to answer her "what if Ed never left, would I have fallen in love with him" question ...so she will have her answer... and after that concentrate on who maybe the one for her, whoever that might be...

She let him come to the RC and gave him a rose so that's what I mean. She didn't have to do either.

I don't understand the precedent comments as it relates to Jillian picking Ed. I can see that tptb may have set a precedent by allowing Ed to take part in work calls and leave/come back but what does that have to do with Jillian picking him as her f1? She will chose the guy she feels the greatest connection to and (hopefully) has fallen in love with. If that ends up being Ed than what most people will come away with is that love is worth fighting for even with a bump or two along the way.

My main concern with the precedent is how it affects futures shows and whether it will become commonplace to have contestants coming and going. I hope not; it really screws with the viewers developing attachments. Take Ed for instance. Some liked him until he left/came back. Some liked him better after he left/came back. I would think, though, that we might agree it disrupted the "flow" of watching Jillian develop her "connection" with Ed. That's one of my primary concerns with it.

But it's Jillian's life we're talking about even though it's a reality show. The viewer only missed 1 week of Ed but saw a ton of him in the show where he left and we certainly knew there had to be a connection based on how upset she clearly was. Him coming back was romantic to a lot of people. I doubt we're going to see them allowing this to happen every show but this time there seems to be a good reason for it.

I was just addressing the precedent reasons that I didn't like. Sorry if it sounded otherwise. Didn't mean to make it sound like a slam against Ed. I just hope they don't make it a regular part of future shows.

If it was scripted to get Ed leaving and then returning then he was in on the scheme. I'm sure Jillian was aware of the scripting that happens on the show. But this was a new one. If she believed he really left for work (though rumor has it that it was personal business) and came back and Ed didn't tell her the truth about it, isn't he pursuing her with a cloud of deception hanging over their head this early in the relationship. Where will the trust fit here? What if she finds out later that his role was all an act, will she ever trust the guy? I don't see it working in the real world with this deception in the mix.

As Jillian put it when he left "he should have thought about before he came on the show". Well said, I agree. How would she feel now knowing that he could have gone on personal business and not for work related reasons?

Will f3 guys show up at ATFR or will it just be Reid and Jillian there? (if he who she chooses)
