I don't know if you would call it a "rule", but yeah. TPTB encourage to keep quite a few around for DRAMA and to move the storyline along.

I just saw Mark in glasses when I was watching ep 3 from the beginning so I wonder where Reid was in that preview of the next rose ceremony?

Is it just me, or do we not have Mike or Mark at the RC in Vancouver? They both were let go on the 2-1 date maybe??? I can't see them anywhere in those caps or the moving preview either.

Mark is in the RC for the 5th episode. The one with Reid having that surprised look on his face.

In this episode the 5 guys on the boat date are: Jake, David, Juan, Jesse and Robby.

Mark gets the rose on the 2 on 1 (Mike gets cut), that is why he is not shown in the RC lineup shot. He is hidden to the right, along with Kip. Kip gets a rose on his 1 on 1. We have a cap of Mark at the Callagahan Lodge in Whistler so he definitely survives the RC in episode 4. Hope I made sense.
