I'm bringing this over from the Reid spoiler thread since its about the editing of the rose ceremony. It's my response to peacemar33:

I rewatched the RC, when she was giving her speel to the guys about she is the luckiest woman, etc. tha camera was panning around and here is Reid standing where he was and he has his rose.

I guess it is good ole editing again. Makes you wonder whether he didn't get the 1st rose instead of the 2nd but TPTB chose not to show that.

It looks like Juan also may be out of order. Right after she says she's the luckiest girl in the world, the camera pans on Mike, and the guy behind him in the blue suit has a rose. Also, when she calls Jake up, who's supposed to be first, in slo-mo you can see the guy in the blue suit put his hand inside his jacket pocket (as if he just stuffed his rose in it.) Later, right after she gives Jesse his rose, you can see that the guy in the blue suit behind Mike is Juan -- only now he doesn't have a rose.

Then, Tanner P. goes up for his rose, and you can see Juan with the rose (again standing behind Mike.) Then she calls Wes and it looks like Juan does not have his rose on but his hand moves again . Then she calls Juan to give him the rose (that he had on before Jake got his rose and when Tanner P. got his.)

So did she give both Reid and Juan roses before Jake? Why the edit?

Wow...good catch. You guys are so good. They have to be doing this to give people the impression on who she likes more and who less. I can't think of any other reason.

It's a well-known fact these rose ceremonies take hours to film. So much ends up on the cutting room floor and we may never know the real order in which the roses are given out.

I distinctly remember reading somewhere that Andy and Tessa's FRC took over 8 hours to film.

The early on RCs do take hours to film, but I don't think an FRC would take 8 hours to film.

Among other things, filming outdoors and lighting needs would make that impossible.

The first night takes 8 hours. After that it's PLENTY long for those standing in high heels, but not 8 hours.

I definitely think it would make sense to give Reid the 1st rose. She told him that if there was a 2nd on a group date that she would have given it to him. Probably gave him the 1st one to let him know that she likes what they have?

Someone asked me to post a cap of the whole group at the ceremony. There were only two I saw, one at the very beginning and the other at the end during the goodbyes. The rest of the shots are of individual or small groups of guys. They aren't too clear, but Here they are:

Anyone notice that the ONLY guy moving to say goodbye to these guys is Reid? David has his head held high to say 'thank you, she kept me another week' (yeah, don't worry David your time is short lived). The only other guys moving are the guys that weren't chosen.

I think it just says something about etiquette and good ole' manners! Your mama raised you right Reid!
