Do you know something about these 4? Can't say why (I promised), but I heard (outside these threads) that #2 Simon would be an appropriate cut before Canada. Also, I'm updating the Master List to include his last name.

From the info we've gathered, it seems Matthue and Julien should definitely be out of the Top 16, but I'm not convinced yet about Brian. Here's who is "accounted for" and "unaccounted for":

Surfacing Info:

Julien - Apr 10
Matthue - Apr 12

So, Julien & Matthue would seem to fit on your Top 16 list.

Sasha/Alex - May 3
Jake - May 6
David - May 7

eta: Just saw cheekychook's post in Sleuthing Thread saying she knows Ed was home in April - thanks, cc -- should Ed be the 4th guy added to the "eliminated by F16" accounting?

I think once we've gotten to May "surfaces," we can't tell from that info alone exactly how far they got -- just how far they didn't

Here is my reasoning. We know episode 2 includes the Venice date with 7, the LA race date with 8, the bank vault date with 1, and the martina date with one. Therefore any other dates would be part of future episodes (episode 3 and beyond). In the caps above we have a group date with 11, a boat date in Vancouver, a train ride in Vancouver, htd in philly and a helicopter date. None of these dates fit in with episode 2, so any guys identified in these caps make it to the top 16. We don't have any caps of Brian, Simon, Mathue or Julien on these future dates. There is a possibility that two of these guys could be switched in for either Sasha or Kip since we have no caps of them either. Ed could also not make the top 16, if the bank vault date or the Martina date involved a helicopter ride. I hope I made sense.

I agree cupcakes. The problem is most of us want Kip to be "the one" but all we are going by is what one person has posted here and we don't have any concrete evidence. I'm still hoping that since we don't have anything solid on Kip that's a good thing...if not he can come to Nova Scotia...our surfing is cold but not bad...I'll keep him warm

I thought the helicopter date was tied to the Hotel rappel date (LA). Ed appears to be in the helicopter and the long view shot shows the Malibu coast line. So, wouldn't Ed have the Hotel rappel date in LA?

That was my initial thought as well, but we know Fleiss loves his helicopters. So there is a small possibility that a helicopter could have been used for one of the one on one dates in episode 2. Highly unlikely, but possible.
