I think this is what is sad to quite a few of us. I think Reid would have been the real deal so to speak. I honestly do not believe he will ride in on the white horse though. I think MF wants us to think that, but he's missing out on meeting her parents and she looked like she is carrying on with the LCD week of this. I'm sad for Reid.... but still curious why he didn't show up at the MTA?????

Why not? Lord I known couples who dated for months or years and never get the L word, they finally break up when one of them actually meets someone they fall head over heals in love with and is willing to shout I love you to the rooftops after 1 week.

If you know you know, Not saying its for everyone, but its certainly not unheard of for happily married couples to have had a short engagement.

I seriously can't believe people are still on about this player thing, I saw several indicators in tonight's show alone that pretty much put that rumor to rest. I think you're looking through eyes that are filled with this preconceived notion of what you think Ed is.

THIS. A million times this. Everything about Ed has been hashed and rehashed, so I won't go into every single detail/post. I totally understand how the Reid gals feel tonight because I would feel that way if it was Ed that was sent home tonight; so in that regard, I sympathize.

For me, I just don't see anything smarmy, creepy or "player" about Ed AT ALL. I read Reality Steve and have heard all the rumors, but I'm keeping an open mind, just like I did last year with the entire Jason debacle. Until there is concrete evidence or confirmation from Jill or someone OTHER than a gossip site, I'll continue to believe Eds profession of love..bottom line. Of course, I'm not asking anyone else to see what I see & I think that's what happening here. People are upset that Jill didn't pick Reid, are dumping on Ed, etc. but in the end, what matters is what SHE sees; not you & not me. Saying "If she picks Ed, it'll bomb" etc. (NOT a direct quote from anyone), is really throwing rocks at Jill and calling her stupid?

I'm sure the Reid train didn't think she was stupid 6 hours ago, but now all of a sudden she is?? I guess I don't get that. I know my post has a lot of generalizations in it and I apologize if I am heaping every Reid fan into one pile, but it would be extremely time consuming to quote a million posts


As for what happened in the FS with Jill & Ed? It's really hard to say because it's obvious there was a lot of editing. I'll say this; last year my husband & I went to San Juan, Puerto Rico & St.Croix USVI for our 10th Anniversary. On the day of our anniversary, we were out on a sailboat ALL day, in the sun & water ALL day, running around, playing, etc in the sand, had a hearty dinner, drinks and all that stuff. When we got back to our hotel room that night, hubby was rubbing my shoulders with aloe (I see someone mentioned this about Ed & Jill and it made me laugh) and I totally nodded off to sleep. Granted, we woke up early the next morning and made up for it () but I can REALLY see and understand how this could happen and find it to have no connection to Ed being into her.

I don't think Ed signed up to do soft porn. Nope. I think it's okay that he's uncomfortable at first, or "nervous." Must be so embarrassing for him right now though and I hate that. I think he more than made up for it later, according to that promise he made .

How come the camera crew stayed in their room and not Kip's?

His sorry behavior towards her? Didn't see that at all. I saw him go out of his way to let her know how he felt and to bring his parents there. He was obviously sunburned and exhausted, as you can see she's rubbing aloe on him.

I understand the "ED" problem is important and all...but obviously, Jillian doesn't think it's that important, if she did, she wouldn't have kept Ed. Jillian doesn't seem the type that would just throw out a guy because he couldn't "perform". Also, i think the tired excuse is extremely valid. Who are we to say that you have to have sex even if you're tired and only on two hours of sleep? ED is a reality, if it is ED that is.

To me, it seems ridiculous that everyone on this board thinks that Ed is a creep. As mentioned before, I think Ed has been given an extremely bad edit this episode. But i watched previous episodes, like on his one-on-one and his PI's before he left and then came back. He seemed extremely genuine then, and he's always been opened to the viewers about his feelings toward jillian. I don't understand why we would have such a high respect for him before he left the show and now think he is a creep when he comes back after realizing he has made a wrong decision. He is still opened and straightforward. I think people are letting rumors and edits taint their view of Ed.

Also, in an interview Jillian said she was sad (Ed leaving), then happy (Ed returning), sad (Ed not performing) and happy (again). At least that's what I suspect. She always says that the finale will make the whole entire season make sense. From this, it makes me think that Ed is F1. Just because to me, Kiptyn being the F1 just doesn't make the whole storyline make sense. Afterall, it is a story, even if it is scripted or not. Maybe Reid will return, it sure looks it, but from the previews this episode there was no hint of a return and a proposal. If Reid does return and propose, I don't think Jillian will accept. It's clear to me that it's been Ed all along. And that the producers are probably just playing up the "going through rough patches" act by editing Ed this way this week. The whole season would make a whole lotta sense if it's the story of Ed and Jillian and their trials and tribulations.
Actually, I don't remember when was the last time that the preview mentioned a return and proposal in the finale. I mean, they could just mean this to be the return of Ed and a proposal from him? Some reason I'm thinking that the finale preview is just trying to hype up the show and that in reality it wouldn't be that dramatic. But then again, who knows, i'm only speculating. Can't wait to read jillian's blog and see if she is downplaying Ed again this week. If she is, well, maybe she's trying to tell us something.

Unfortunately, this is the part of the season where the bachelor/ette, no matter how popular in the beginning, gets ripped b/c favorites are let go & somebody is always going to get hurt. We have to keep reminding ourselves--edit, edit, edit. F1, F2 & F3 all have places in Fleiss's dominion.

All that chemistry/connection each person sees with their favorite is make believe. The story is written so that each character appeals to different groups. In the end, F1 has to appeal to the bachelor/ette.The real conflict at this point is just part of the story. Couldn't it be as simple as--Reid was nice/sweet/cute/funny but not really what she was looking for? If he comes back (I hope he doesn't--he already left with dignity) at least she respects him enough to listen & think about what he said.
But would you really respect her more if she took him back at that point & dumped the other two? I think he deserves better than that and so does she. Maybe there are conversations on the cutting room floor that explain why she likes Kiptyn so much or why she trusts Ed. We'll never know but at least she appears to be making her choices to suit herself and not the rest of us. I enjoyed the Reid/Kiptyn storylines more than Ed. But, hopefully we will all get to see a little bit of the real romance in recaps during ATFR, whether we agree with her choice or not.

If he does come back, it could be that he comes back to give Jillian some dignity and that she not go down in shame...which I hope she will thank him and say I appreciate it but let's just be friend, I give you my last rose.
