There was a rumor (great source) that Ed had left the show in April. Many thought that it was impossible after seeing the infamous Maui boat pic, especially after that and were unwilling to believe that one of the guys would leave and be allowed back. Well lo and behold he leaves and comes back.
There was a rumor (great source) that Wes was basically promised an F4 spot to be able to promote his music. Many sordid details regarding this but lo and behold, Wes leaves at F4.
There was a rumor (great source) that Reid was going to get a 1-1 date late in the season and also a HTD date that went very well. Many didn't see their chemistry and were adamant that he might not even get a 1-1 date. Well lo and behold both of those things happened.
There were rumors (great sources) that Ed is a player, cad, w/e you want to call him and doubts regarding his intentions during the show. This has been argued ad nauseum here with camps firmly entrenched...lo and behold...well nothing has surfaced on the show to give us any indication of that...yet.
There was discussion if the F3 would show up at the MTA...clearly he would right? Clearly he has nothing to do with the FRC because that idea is just so crazy and convoluted. Of course it's all about the F2 proposing to Jillian before the F1...Lo and behold the F3 didn't make it to the MTA which leads to suspicions of how the FRC is going to play out.
So ateotd, what have I learned? I have learned to keep an open mind to all possibilities but still hold true to what I believe is going to happen. I first and foremost want Jillian to be truly happy, she has been through the wringer this season.
There was a post (great thinker) which I think is "brilliant."

I believe the whole Reid being cut at F3 and coming back to be F1 is going to be difficult to sell. They have to give good reasons to cut Kip at F2 and Ed at F1, both guys she kept over Reid at F3. Kip is easier because of the "will he commit" storyline. But Ed's story has been "triumph over adversity" already. Something big has to happen for viewers to believe she dumps him at F1. Unless he dumps her at F1. What would be easier for viewers to believe?

I just want to say I don't put much stock in any of the information from SDL (his source musta been into the sauce or something) just my opinion.
Thanks. I too have my own opinion on that, but I just wanted to be clear on what SDL was saying. Still isn't quite making sense to me. Maybe it will after tonight.
Thanks :)

I know! She's going to have some 'splaining to do to make it up to us. Oh yeah, and Reid, too. :laugh

My read of the plotline/storyboard is a 180 from yours. I think one of this season's themes is "The path to love isn't always straight." The plotline this season--if graphed--would not be a traditional classical triangle with a conflict, a crisis at the apex, followed by a denouement/resolution. It would be as zigzagging as a lightning bolt . . . or a drunk man walking. Each episode has its own crisis and a different protagonist.

Well yes but we don't know for sure that Reid even comes back. And we certainly don't know Reid is F1.

That fits with what I have been told. Jillian says goodbye to Ed and Kip at the FRC and is visibly upset ... then we see somebody coming back. We will have to tune in the following night to watch the conclusion.
:biglove Reid and Jillian
If that happens, I hope we'll see Jillian apologizing to Kip and Ed, saying something like she has "deep feelings" for both, but she's realized they were stronger for someone she had already let go, and that it wouldn't be fair to either of them for her to go forward. Again, IF that happens, I would hope that she's unaware that Reid is coming back. Otherwise, it reeks of complicity.

Reid would only be on the finale the last 5 minutes??
SO I'm trying to follow..
Jilly dumps the two other guys at the FRC and then Reid comes back for her at the end..
and he hasn't been in the finale or met her parents or proposed?? The two
guys she kept over Reid until this point are dumped at the FRC??
So in the Vo when she says" I knew when I woke up this morning what I would do and that I would be an engaged woman" she is thinking of dumping both the F2 guys..?
Nah..again,not likely..
Are they really going to only focus on Jill and Reid, this happy new couple at the ATFR when they would have ED and KIp to talk to as well?
Seems like alot for only one hour..
Whatever DRAMA happens will happen this time on the show,in HI.
I think people are over thinking this becasue of Jason's show.
It's just not gonna happen that way for Jill...jmo, of course..
I laughed out loud at that line, goldie. I know I'm guilty! :laugh I loved SaffronSunrise's post the other day that we were putting much more thought and effort into this than Jillian did.

I totally agree. One has to go "bad" (F1 Ed) in some fashion and the other storyline (F2 Kip) is that he either is not commited enough or she still feels she doesn't measure up so she breaks his heart by rejecting whatever it is he offers. They have to make the audience buy why she'd take Reid back and be ok with it.
Otherwise, it reflects very badly on her and to some degree, Reid. Sorry, I think the storyline being suggested will make them look desperate - not romantic. If she eventually goes back to him - why not keep in the first place and give him more time?
