I totally agree with this. Under different circumstances, I could possibly see these two making a go of it. This show is not going to allow them the time they need to feel secure in their feelings for each other to make a relationship work.Originally Posted by Arielflies;3534547;

Basically until you are happy with yourself you won't be happy with anyone else, something will always rear up. I think that is why she is drawn to the bad boy type because of her insecurities. JMOJillian's blog is up at People and she (or whichever intern was assigned to write it this week) said that she thought she had aced it with Kiptyn's family until the very end when his dad pulled out a banjo or guitar (it was a guitar) and they made her make up verses to their Bachelorette song. She said she felt humiliated because with her scratchy voice she can't sing..sigh. On the credit roll, we saw some of the song and heard, but didn't see, her try out a verse. I thought she did just fine, but that girl's insecurities once again reared up.
I'm laughing at myself because I seem to be trying harder to make this work for them than they are at this point in the show.Back down, Ariel, and let it play out...it will work, or it won't work and nothing you think will change anything.
I agree, nennie.I think the problem lies within Jillian, herself. She seems very insecure to me and doubtful of her decisions. I know this is speed-dating, but it makes me wonder about her own insecurities.

I agree. Watching her act like a groupie with Wes made it seem crystal clear to me that she has some things to work out. She admits to Kip's mom that she has been with guys that she has to "work to get their love" and then what do we see her do with Wes? Grovel for the love crumbs he tosses her way and then find any way she can to rationalize his behavior. The Ed return speaks to this same issue as well.
I found the whole episode depressing. Moving forward, it's all about seeing the KipTV journey for me as I have no expectations of a good ending with any of them. Sure, whoever she picks will do their obligatory 6 months but that's all I expect out of it.
that's how I took what she said, she was laughing at her raspy voice and said that she was a good sport about having to sing and make up lyrics but was secretly mortified which is different than being humiliated. This whole issue seems to be all in Jillian's head, Kip has done nothing to make her think she's not good enough and her family was very welcoming and unpretentious (sp?) and had some fun with her, but did not make fun of her. I think Jillian has some self-esteem issues and has to stop "working" to find happiness, she is good enough and pretty enough to get the "hot" guy... but she needs to believe it.... and stop thinking that the Wes's of hte world are all that she derserves.
Kiptyn's family seems loaded. I can totally understand why he is so guarded. Way too many golddiggers out here. I have a feeling he is only going to make it to F2. Jillian seems to have very low self-esteem and when she is around him, it magnifies. Not a good thing.
i have to agree with a lot of you...her low self esteem is clearly evident when she's interacting with these men. she constantly needs reassurance and imo, her questions sometimes ruin the casualness or the laid back appeal of her dates. i understand that this is speed dating but sometimes you need to sit back and enjoy the ride. for the most part their true colors will start to show, but she needs immediate gratification. i think jill is adorable but she does this FUNKY thing with her lips constantly and it irritates the heck out of me! it's a cross between cleaning her teeth with her tongue and pursing her lips....grrr....lol
