I wasn't a huge fan of the show when Trista and Ryan did their run but I don't see them as huge media whores at all. They are a real family doing their thing, I wish them all the best.

i'll edit and add as it goes along. so far:

    1. confirms story of sister applying for him, knew nothing until he got the show
    2. didn't know who jillian was until 2 or 3 days before filming. asks RS if jillian finished like 2nd or 3rd from jason's season
    3. says the producers were pretty adamant for getting him on the show, saw the show as an adventure, why not, something to tell his kids about some day
    4. musician for 14 years, on his 3rd album. not like he just decided to become a musician and go on a reality show. said he's worked very hard for a long long time.
    5. says he didn't want to play his guitar the first night, and that the producers even wanted him to step out of the limo playing the guitar. says the producers placed his guitar there at the m&g the first night and seemed to be trying to create a character from the start
    6. reid also brought a guitar, and michael also wrote her a song and played it for jillian on wes' guitar
    7. had no clue until the jake thing happened that anyone was talking behind his back.
    8. the week before the htd he was getting fed up with the process and asked to leave. wasn't really getting 1-1 time w/ jillian. less than 4 hours total in the whole time until whistler. he said "what's the use of me being here?" and was told "wes, play the game."
    9. on the train, jillian sleeping and wes walks in to wake her - *basically* confirms it was totally staged, by lining out how absurd the idea is
    10. before the show, he and laurel broke up in july or august and remained friends. friends for 7 years, dated for 3. had a working relationship w/ laurel's mom. still broke up. she's getting a lot of attention she doesn't want, a lot of phone calls. he asked the producers not to mention her name, they said they were giving the first name and it wouldn't be enough to find her. he says they've gone way too far
    11. regarding jake's accusation that wes & laurel had an agreement: worst acting job he's ever seen, relates conversation w/ another contestant (after show's airing) regarding jake believing the Lord told him he would be on 7 episodes and was kicked off on the 6th so he came back? praying on bended knee b/c he really believed wes would hurt jillian? talks also about jake having told him in the hottub (after john wayne date? just guessing) that he wanted to be the next bachelor. really odd part of the interview, about 1/4 way in.
    12. says he and jake came together b/c of their religious beliefs, but feels jake comes off sometimes as a little religiously kooky
    13. how the conversation with jake about having a girlfriend went is hard to describe. he says it didn't happen that he can recall, talks about having said he didn't know what was in the cards if things didn't work out w/ jillian (being one of 30 guys)
    14. talking about bowing out and leaving a la graham - told jake that if he made the f3 and wasn't as attracted to jillian as he should be, that he would bow out and felt that would be the right moral decision for anyone to do. says "if this show is real," he would not get propose to break up a few months later.

don't know about Ryan, but Trista was all about the media whore stuff.....ABC will trot them out during the AFRC AGAIN - probably via skype because of the new baby - but she's hardly been invisible since that season ended.

I listened to the Wes interview done on KVET, and it was pretty amazing what they did with his edit. I may be repeating some things, but he DID admit that he came on the show for his career but he had an open mind about falling in love. He said Jillian was a cute girl with a great personality, and he wrote her a letter (that he said was prob never given to her) when he left saying he wanted to be in her life somehow and gave her all of his contact information.

He said the limo scene at the end was completely butchered, he was saying the words to a song (after a few drinks), and they used that as part of what he said. When he said "I'm the first guy to ever make it to the top 4 with a girlfriend", he was being sarcastic and after that comment he said "come on, get real, if I had a girlfriend I would be with her right now". But, they cut out the second part. He also said that they drove around for 3 hours taping him and that is why he said at the end "what are we doing, driving around in circles, take me home." Anyway, it's a good interview, and I'm sure RS's is much of the same.

No not at all. Just rewatch his scenes, they were sooooo chopped/spliced/edited it's not even funny. I am in marketing and create videos/demos for my company and I can pick up on that stuff pretty easily. It's actually really easy to do, they (abc's editors) can basically make up any story they want with the amount of footage they get from these guys. IMHO I think they went a bit too far this season and it's going to bite them in the ass big time if this Wes story gets any traction. He seems pissed to the point where I think he is going to get in some legal trouble if he keeps this up.

If she was a huge media whore, wouldn't she have her own " insert some random thing " here show. Like Trista and Ryan plus 2 or Trista and Ryan In Love, or the Trista Show.. haha If she comes on the AFRC thats not a huge deal at all in my opinion.
